My name is [name_f]Hope[/name_f] [name_f]Samantha[/name_f]. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] was chosen due to the fact I was a rainbow baby, and I was born not long after my maternal grandad died. I understand my parents’ reasoning for choosing my name but I wish they went with their second choice ([name_f]Willow[/name_f]) because I feel like it suits me more. My middle name is after an older cousin who I see about once every three years, so I’m not really attached to it.
My sister’s name is [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_m]Jackson[/name_m]. I don’t know the reasoning behind [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] (she also wishes that our parents would have gone with their second choice for her, [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f], but I think she suits [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] more). Her middle name was our great-great grandma’s maiden name, which has been passed on as a middle name for generations. [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] has usually been given to the male family members, but as my sibling & cousins on my dad’s side are all girls, and my sister was definitely the last, they thought that they would pass [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] on to a girl anyway.
