What are you and YOUR siblings named?

[name_f]Erin[/name_f] [name_f]Rebekah[/name_f] [name_u]Kendell[/name_u] ([name_f]Erin[/name_f] to pay homage to Irish heritage, [name_f]Rebekah[/name_f] because they like it and [name_u]Kendell[/name_u] in remembrance of my mother’s father who passed away when she was young.

[name_f]Lauren[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] [name_u]Kendell[/name_u] (because they liked the names  )

I have used [name_u]Kendell[/name_u] in my own daughter’s middle name. But probably wouldn’t use any other name just because they aren’t really special.

(ME) [name_m]Webb[/name_m] [name_m]Armstrong[/name_m] [name_m]Ross[/name_m] (All various ancestor family surnames)

Macpherson “[name_m]Mac[/name_m]” [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] (MacPherson = Our clan name; [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] = our Mother’s Grandfather; Unknown)

[name_u]Finlay[/name_u] “[name_u]Finn[/name_u]” [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] [name_m]Victor[/name_m] ([name_u]Finlay[/name_u] = Unknown; [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] = our Father’s Great Uncle who died in WWI; [name_m]Victor[/name_m] = name of ourFather’s Father [Though our Grandfather went by his middle name [name_m]Bruce[/name_m])

I would not give any of these names to my children except possibly [name_m]Victor[/name_m]

[name_m]Wesley[/name_m] [name_u]Neal[/name_u] & [name_f]Alicia[/name_f] [name_f]Dawn[/name_f]

No real reasons, my mom just like the way each name sounded.

[name_f]Jessica[/name_f] LaMae (no reason they just liked it)
[name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] LaMae (no reason they just liked it)
And [name_m]Donald[/name_m] [name_m]Edward[/name_m] [name_m]Jr[/name_m] (after our father)

[name_f]Barbara[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] (after a friend of my mother’s )

[name_f]Amanda[/name_f] [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] (I don’t know)

[name_m]Stephen[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_m]Jr[/name_m](named after our dad)

[name_f]Irene[/name_f] [name_u]Rene[/name_u] ([name_f]Irene[/name_f] was my maternal grandmother’s middle name and my paternal great grandmother’s first name)

[name_f]Tara[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] (me- my dad randomly picked it… I think he watched Gone With the Wind a lot while they were pregnant with me.)

I don’t think I would use any of our names in my child’s name. If it fit really well, I might use [name_f]Marie[/name_f] as a middle name … but unlikely

[name_f]Tara[/name_f] [name_f]Crystal[/name_f] - My dad’s then-wife’s mother [name_f]Tara[/name_f] had just passed away, so that was an honor name. I haven’t heard anything else about [name_f]Crystal[/name_f] other than they liked it.
[name_m]Jeremy[/name_m] [name_u]Michael[/name_u] - They chose [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m] because it was one of the two names on their boy’s list that didn’t sound awful with our surname. [name_u]Michael[/name_u] is after my uncle.
[name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m] - [name_u]Owen[/name_u] is supposedly to honor the rumored Welsh ancestors in our family tree. [name_m]William[/name_m] was something they liked, and my mom had an affinity for the royal family.
[name_f]Catalina[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] - My namesake is [name_f]Santa[/name_f] [name_f]Catalina[/name_f] Island, which my parents visited before I was born. They fell in love with it and decided to give the name to me. [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] was an extension of [name_f]Rose[/name_f], a family name.
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - My mom says that [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] is after the character in Shrek but I’m not so sure there’s any truth to that. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] was my great-great-aunt’s name.

My name is [name_u]Whitney[/name_u] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]- [name_u]Whitney[/name_u] because they liked it and [name_f]Marie[/name_f] after my grandma, Rosmarie.
Siblings:
[name_f]Heidi[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]- They liked [name_f]Heidi[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a family name tradition.
[name_u]Sterling[/name_u] [name_u]Logan[/name_u]- They just liked the name, no family ties as far as I know.
[name_u]Haley[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]- Mom like [name_u]Haley[/name_u] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is after my great grandma [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. Although my dad want to name her [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]. [name_u]June[/name_u] after my other great grandma [name_u]June[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].

I’ll use [name_f]Rose[/name_f] since its a family name, probably [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] tho. I love the name [name_u]Sterling[/name_u] but won’t use it, maybe his middle name if hubby would let me. [name_u]Haley[/name_u] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] are way too common for me to use, but it fits my sister perfectly.

My name is [name_f]Serena[/name_f] [name_f]Faith[/name_f]. [name_f]Serena[/name_f] because my parents needed some peace and serenity with three teenage step-daughters in the house. [name_f]Faith[/name_f] because I was premature and they needed to have faith that I would be ok.

My brother’s name is [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_u]Jule[/name_u], after our paternal great-grandfather.

Our half-sisters’ names are [name_f]Sarah[/name_f], [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], and [name_f]Kristin[/name_f].

[name_f]Vasiliki[/name_f], [name_m]Christos[/name_m] & [name_m]Giorgos[/name_m]/[name_m]Georgios[/name_m]. All are family names.

[name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] [name_f]Jade[/name_f] & [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Ethan[/name_m]. Not sure why they picked the names.

I’m [name_f]Megan[/name_f] [name_f]Leda[/name_f]. My dad is from [name_f]England[/name_f] and he and my mom visited [name_m]Wales[/name_m] and met a [name_f]Megan[/name_f] and really liked it. [name_f]Leda[/name_f] is an old family name and also partially after a book my dad was reading about the author who wrote [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Bond[/name_m]. My brother is [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m] which are both family names.

[name_u]Darien[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] ([name_u]Darien[/name_u] because they liked it and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] was my great grandmothers middle name)
[name_f]Corinne[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f] (They like both names and thought they were good together)

[name_f]Rachel[/name_f] D’[name_f]Ann[/name_f] (me) and [name_f]Hailey[/name_f] [name_f]Elaine[/name_f] (my amazing sister)

No amazing stories behind it. My father chose my first name, and my mother chose my middle. When my sister was born, my mother chose her first and my father chose her middle.

Big sister is [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] [name_f]Avice[/name_f] (me) – [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] is after one of my dear aunties ‘[name_f]Becky[/name_f]’ and [name_f]Avice[/name_f] is a good family friend
[name_m]Little[/name_m] sister is [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] – [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] is a good family friend and [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] is another dear auntie

I love that [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] and [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] have matching consonants/vowels and the same number of letters. I remember when I discovered the pattern in the names and pretty much freaked out (name nerd from a very young age)!!

Eldest brother [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Julian[/name_m] - always went by [name_m]Julian[/name_m] which my mother chose because she loved [name_m]Julien[/name_m] in Stendhals’ novel [name_f]Scarlet[/name_f] and [name_m]Black[/name_m]. [name_m]John[/name_m] was for her father my grandfather who died not long after my brother was born. We used to sing the “[name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Julian[/name_m] Jingleheimer [name_m]Smith[/name_m]” song from the Muppets to tease him.
Then [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] Grymes Keating - my mother wanted to call him [name_m]Benedict[/name_m] but someone they knew had got there first. Grymes was the name of an old English sea captain my mother had found in the family tree, Keating paternal grandmother’s maiden name.
[name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] Galleher is me, [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] because they both liked it, [name_f]Louise[/name_f] Galleher was my maternal grandmother’s full name. I have used both those names as my twin daughters’ middles. All the women in my family have [name_f]Louise[/name_f] somewhere in their name. My mother’s favourite name of all time is [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] but she had already used it up on a cat! The runner up name for me was [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f].
I think [name_m]Julian[/name_m] doesn’t really go with [name_m]Ben[/name_m] and [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] and I always felt sorry for [name_m]Julian[/name_m] that he only had two first names. I love my middle names especially Galleher which was pronounced “[name_f]Gallia[/name_f]” (mother from [name_f]Virginia[/name_f]) but I always felt I was more of a [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] or a [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] or something very English as that is what I look like!

My name is [name_f]Theresa[/name_f] Apryle [name_f]Rosanna[/name_f]. [name_f]Theresa[/name_f] is the English version of Thérèse, my great-grandmother’s name, and it happened to be my dad’s favourite girl name. He’s from [name_f]England[/name_f], so I guess he was stuck in traditional naming. My middle names are after my grandmothers. My sister is [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] [name_f]Ashleigh[/name_f], because [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] means the marriage bond and my mom was getting married. [name_f]Ashleigh[/name_f] was just for how it sounds. My brothers are [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] and [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] [name_m]John[/name_m]. [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] because of my great-grandfather [name_m]Jack[/name_m], and [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] because of the sound and [name_m]Christian[/name_m] meaning. [name_u]Tyler[/name_u] was because it suited him, and [name_m]John[/name_m] was the name of his grandfather. My mom likes very traditional and English names. They’re nice and go well together, but they’re nms.

Mom- [name_f]Kailee[/name_f] (no middle)
Dad- [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] ([name_u]Drew[/name_u])

[name_f]Allyson[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] ([name_f]Grace[/name_f] is after our mom’s friend)
[name_m]Jackson[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] ([name_m]Patrick[/name_m] is our grandfather’s middle name)
[name_f]Emmaleigh[/name_f] [name_u]Kay[/name_u] ([name_u]Kay[/name_u] is after our great grandmother), Was originally going to be named [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]…

I’m [name_f]Maria[/name_f] [name_f]Teresa[/name_f] (Marieta for short), my brothers are [name_m]Paulo[/name_m] and Hélio and my half-sisters are [name_f]Laura[/name_f] and [name_f]Antonia[/name_f]. We all have traditional and saintly names. My parents were devoutly Catholic.

[name_f]Holly[/name_f] [name_u]Lyn[/name_u] (me)
[name_f]Nicollette[/name_f] [name_f]Laci[/name_f]
[name_m]Timothy[/name_m] [name_m]Robert[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_f]Aliyah[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]

[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]
[name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_m]Allen[/name_m] ([name_m]Allen[/name_m] is DH’s mn)
[name_u]Ryan[/name_u] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_u]Dale[/name_u] ([name_u]Dale[/name_u] is DGF’s mn)
