I’ve posted this info before, but here goes:
Mostly, I turned out very happy with my children’s names even though my husband and I [name]BARELY[/name] found boy names we could agree on. (Girl names were much easier.)
(1) [name]Daniel[/name] [name]Glen[/name] ([name]Glen[/name] was my father-in-law’s middle name.)
(2) [name]Timothy[/name] [name]Austin[/name] (Middle name would have been [name]August[/name] after my grandfather, but hubby only accepted [name]Austin[/name] - a short form of [name]Augustine[/name], which is derived from [name]Augustus[/name].)
(3) [name]Rebecca[/name] [name]Jane[/name] (I always planned on passing down the middle name [name]Jane[/name] to a daughter, which was from my mother and my middle name too.)
There are many other girl names I love! My husband and I often talk about having a fourth child, but time is running out to do that. He sometimes refers to our hypothetical fourth child as “[name]Amy[/name].” I am leaning towards [name]Susannah[/name] or [name]Eva[/name]. I am grateful for the three children I have but sometimes find myself daydreaming about having more daughters.
I have three little girls:
DanniJune [name]Camille[/name] ([name]Danni[/name] after my father, [name]June[/name] after my paternal grandmother, and [name]Camille[/name] which is my mothers middle name)
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Lilou[/name] ([name]Charlotte[/name] after my husbands maternal grandmother and it has also been my personal favorite name since I was a teenager and [name]Lilou[/name] is quite popular here in [name]France[/name] but I as an American truthfully picked it b/c I loved the character in the movie the 5th Element LOL)
[name]Maeve[/name] [name]Amelie[/name] ([name]Maeve[/name] after my favorite singer Meav Ni Mhaolchatha and [name]Amelie[/name] after the main character in one of my favorite french movies)
My son is named [name]Daniel[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] and all though he fits his name to a T… if i could go back and change his name i would cause with a very popular last name as i do i would have chosen a different 1st name but he likes it so - yea!
I have two children and am currently pregnant with G/G twins.
[name]Rory[/name] [name]Benjamin[/name] (9): I am Scottish/Irish and DH is Scottish so we wanted names that refected our backgrounds. [name]Rory[/name] just had a really good feel to it and suited our son perfectly. [name]Benjamin[/name] is after one of my best friends growing up who is still good friends with DH and me. In fact, [name]Rory[/name]'s name was disappointingly easy for a name addict like myself!
[name]Kerry[/name] [name]Jess[/name] (5) [name]Kerry[/name] I just loved and sounded great with [name]Rory[/name]. [name]Jess[/name] was also after one of our closest friends, [name]Jessica[/name]. Tge name was going to be [name]Kerry[/name] [name]Jessica[/name] but our friend requested we used [name]Jess[/name] as that was what she always went by. Consequently [name]Kerry[/name]'s name sounds quite boyish but she loves it and so do we!
The twins were a bit harder but they will be:
[name]Rowan[/name] Vivaldi. [name]Both[/name] DH and I studied music at university and so it is very important to us. After meeting a little girl called Vivaldi [name]Kerry[/name]'s junior orchestra day I posted about it on here. The responses got me thinking that it was cute and I realised that Vivaldi went perfectly with one of our top names: [name]Rowan[/name] (just because we loved it)
[name]Eilidh[/name] [name]Cadenza[/name] or [name]Eilidh[/name] [name]Bach[/name] undecided on middle name as yet. [name]Eilidh[/name] we just liked.
I have [name]Kyle[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] and [name]Emily[/name] [name]Catherine[/name].
I do still like their names, especially their mn’s! [name]Kyle[/name] was the only Irish/Scottish name my husband and I could agree on, and [name]Emily[/name] was the only girl’s name we both agreed on!
That being said, both my children love their names, and would not want to change them if they could.
[name]Peter[/name] [name]Sebastian[/name] and [name]Laura[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
My DH andI love my children’s names, and [name]Peter[/name] and [name]Laura[/name] love them, too. But [name]Laura[/name] does say that [name]Elizabeth[/name] is a bit boring. She is happy that I spelled [name]Elizabeth[/name] with a “z” rather than an “s”.
i have a baby boy named jostein dominic aquitaine (jostein is taken from my favorite author: jostein gaarder), dominic is the star of prison break (dominic purcel) and aquitaine is a name of a region in france…
My daughter is [name]Zoe[/name] [name]Juniper[/name]. My name is [name]Chloe[/name] and I’ve always loved it, so I chose something similar, and [name]Juniper[/name] was something my husband came up with in a pub across the street from the hospital right before the birth certificate was due ([name]Zoe[/name] was premature so we hadn’t thought of anything yet).
[name]Rory[/name] [name]Jane[/name]-I watched the [name]Gilmore[/name] Girls alot when I was pregnant, because [name]Lorelai[/name] and I have alot in common. I decided that [name]Rory[/name] really fit, especially since my daughter has red hair.
[name]Jane[/name] was my mom’s name, she passed away when I was 14.
[name]Fiona[/name] [name]Paige[/name]-My dad is really proud of his Irish/Scottish heritage, so I wanted a name that reflected where we came from. [name]Paige[/name] is my big sister.
My daughters name is [name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Prudence[/name], goes by [name]Rosie[/name]- always loved [name]Rose[/name] and [name]Mary[/name] so thought why not put them together and always wanted the name [name]Prudence[/name] since I was little thanks to Charmed but DH wasnt so keen so settled for mn instead. I still love her name
Pregnant again now and if its a boy he will be [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Colin[/name] after my grandad and if baby is a girl she will be [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Phoebe[/name] after mine and DH’s grandmothers.
