I think if it were entirely up to me I might have given my daughters names like [name]Rosalind[/name], [name]Beatrice[/name], [name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Daphne[/name]. My husband might have gone along with [name]Juliet[/name] and [name]Daphne[/name] but he preferred much more solid classics like [name]Mary[/name], [name]Sarah[/name], [name]Caroline[/name] and [name]Audrey[/name]. It wasn’t too hard for us to find common ground because our styles weren’t that different. We had no issues agreeing on boy names. There would be no compromise needed. My (current) compromise girl name list would probably look something like this:
I know these are names he would like well enough to use. And I would too. I’m glad I did not have to compromise with my oldest daughter’s name. He loved it as much as I did - maybe even a bit more.
[name]Henry[/name] and [name]Julia[/name] are our compromise names. He wanted to name [name]Henry[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name] but I really do not like the name. He liked [name]Henry[/name] well enough so he agreed to let me use it if I let him name our next. His favorite girls name was [name]Julia[/name], which I liked well enough.

The only names he’s offered are [name]Suvi[/name] and [name]Lyra[/name]. I don’t really like [name]Suvi[/name] and am considering [name]Lyra[/name], but don’t really want it. He’s considering Lumi. He’ll probably give in as he doesn’t care that much about names. He really doesn’t like [name]Luca[/name] so I don’t think I’m getting that one, but he’s offered nothing else so we’re stuck on boys right now.
