What are your favorite "only as a middle" names?

What are some of your favorite names that you would only use in the middle? For any reason (and if you want to share the reason that would be cool too!) I really like word names and names in general that are just a little to brave for the first spot, some of mine I am saving for the middle are:

(most of these are middle name only because I’m not brave enough to put them in the fist spot except [name_u]Ember[/name_u] and thats because my name is [name_f]Amber[/name_f])

Most of the girl names I love but either am not brave enough to make it a first name (Larcie) or it is to simple for me. I need long, 2+ syllable, modern names. Some are family names([name_f]Mae[/name_f], [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f])

For boys most are bible or family names and, for same reason as girls, not long enough!

I love [name_u]Fable[/name_u] and [name_u]Sparrow[/name_u] too although I prefer them as middles for a girl

Ermentrude, not because of usability, I’m just yet to find a middle that sounds good with it.

Philophrosyne, same reasons with [name_f]Ermentrude[/name_f], also this one would be such a burden for a child (literally 13 letters long)

Sparrow - i have a big crush on this name, but not brave enough for the first spot

Isadora - i could never imagine myself using this for a first name, but i love it

Apolline - it makes any first name sound magical and refined :pleading_face:

Maelily - im afraid of it seeming too “made up”

Thank you for reminding me how much I LOVE this name (especially on girls) :heart_eyes::sob:

Names I’m pretty confident will only get used as middles, if at all:
[name_f]Lavender[/name_f] - too out there /too boho, though I’m super contradictory because I would definitely use [name_u]Sparrow[/name_u] as a fn …:thinking: I don’t even understand myself sometimes lol
[name_f]Suzanne[/name_f] - an honor name. [name_u]Love[/name_u] it but it’s too safe as a first.
[name_u]Atlas[/name_u] - I just can’t commit to it as a fn! I love it tho!
[name_m]Desmond[/name_m] - such a crush of mine but feels a bit too “posh” for me. I usually prefer shorter names for firsts. Doesn’t fit in with my girls names.

I’m with you on [name_u]Atlas[/name_u], I had a boy in the daycare center I worked at called [name_u]Atlas[/name_u] and I thought that was so clever and cool but I just wouldn’t be brave enough to use it unless it was a middle
