What are your favourite "wildcard names" - names that you love but don't fit in with the rest of your list?

For me, my ultimate wildcard name at the moment would have to be [name_u]Kelly[/name_u].
I’m normally a fan of classic, traditional and feminine sounding names, and [name_u]Kelly[/name_u] does not fit any of those boxes, but I still adore it. I don’t know if I could use it, but I love it, actually. Also [name_u]Sage[/name_u], [name_u]Lindsay[/name_u] and [name_u]Georgie[/name_u].
What about you guys?

I have so many! Although, I don’t really think I have a set style, so most names I’d be fine putting on my list, for the most part.
[name_f]My[/name_f] biggest one is [name_f]Wednesday[/name_f]. It’s so cute! But… [name_f]Wednesday[/name_f] next to [name_f]Rilla[/name_f] [name_f]Wildflower[/name_f] and [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] just doesn’t really work.

Fun question! [name_f]My[/name_f] wildcard is definitely [name_u]Beverly[/name_u] / [name_f]Beverley[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] usual taste is mythological or just-on-the-pretentious-side-of-classic British, but it’s a family name and one of my favourite fictional characters so she’s on the list (any other [name_f]Star[/name_f] Trek fans?!)

My taste definitely consists of tons of virtue names, but I only have one on my shortlist of 5 names, and it doesn’t really fit in :joy:

My shortlist: Margaret ‘Greta’, Rosanna ‘Rosie’, Eileen ‘Leena’, Iola ‘Ola’, & Merrily ‘Merry’

[name_f]Reverie[/name_f]! It really doesn’t make sense with the rest of my list, but I just love it. It feels so gentle and sparkly :sparkles:

Oh, so many! [name_m]Enda[/name_m], [name_f]Jenny[/name_f], [name_u]Indigo[/name_u], [name_f]Melody[/name_f], [name_u]Sandy[/name_u], [name_f]Chiara[/name_f], [name_f]Azura[/name_f], [name_f]Arava[/name_f], [name_f]Luna[/name_f] for girls and [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m], [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m], and Baptist for boys to name a few!

I feel so seen by this thread.

I absolutely adore classics and literary sweeties. Very, very high on my list are the likes of Florence, Josephine, May, Alice, Luella, Maude, Eve, Louisa / Lucy, Elizabeth / Beth, and, with miss Florence and miss Josephine in the one and two spots!

And then there’s my absolute love… Vision. :butterfly: She’s got all the spunk and beauty of the others I adore, but golly, she just doesn’t fit with her sisters. Still, I’m so in love with the name that I don’t even mind. (Well… I almost don’t mind. The notion of “cohesive sibsets are best” is definitely one I’m unsure of!)

Fun Extras:
According to the ever-wonderful “Baby Name Uniqueness Analyzer,” my top two rank at #713 (Florence) and #72 (Josephine) in the US. And… sweet Vision currently ranks as #13,383. :exploding_head:

[name_f]My[/name_f] biggest wildcard is probably [name_f]Candy[/name_f]. I’m not a big fan of any dated names, especially from the 70s/80s. But for some reason I just really like [name_f]Candy[/name_f].

Boys: [name_u]Indigo[/name_u], [name_u]Aspen[/name_u], [name_u]Sage[/name_u], [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u], [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u]

Girls: Kiely/Keely, [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u], [name_u]Kenzie[/name_u], [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u], [name_u]Fallon[/name_u], [name_f]Luna[/name_f], [name_u]Waverly[/name_u], [name_u]Flannery[/name_u]

(My taste tends to be a little more “classic” or vintage, but these are some decidedly more modern loves of mine).

I don’t really post my son’s name on here anymore but his name! The rest of the names on my list (for boys) are largely old-fashioned, old man names. Classics. [name_m]Easy[/name_m] to spell. Familiar. [name_f]My[/name_f] son’s name isn’t very common at all here, is a somewhat obscure place name and just doesn’t even have the same vibe as the others.

Oh, a great question! I have so many that I feel like don’t fit with the rest of my list but I still love!
