Anything overly tied to fictional characters/fandoms. I think [name_f]Daenerys[/name_f] and Galadriel are beautiful names, but I would never really use them, should my future daughter grow up to hate her namesake/resent her parents for being geeks.
Names have to be pretty out there for me to consider them ‘guilty pleasure’ names and even then I just don’t like the word much. I wish that no one got bullied in the world and that names could be anything.
I don’t have a lot of names that I love that I think of as off limits really.
[name_f]Euphemia[/name_f] is probably the closest thing I have to a guilty pleasure name. I love it and the idea of nn [name_f]Effie[/name_f] but it does feel like a lot to name a kid, even when looking at our other top contenders like [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] and [name_f]Persephone[/name_f].
I’m still holding on to [name_m]Roswell[/name_m], [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], & [name_m]Zigmund[/name_m] but idk if they’ll make it to my real children because others find them silly/over the top lol
My guilty pleasures are stated in my signature Some could potentially be used as a middle, like [name_m]Bramwell[/name_m], [name_m]Emrys[/name_m], [name_m]Alasdair[/name_m] and [name_m]Parnell[/name_m]. Ones that I greatly regret not being able to use are [name_m]Prior[/name_m], Faraday and Tuppence

I don’t have many guilty pleasure names, but it would definitely be [name_f]Pandora[/name_f], on the outside, it sounds whimsical and magical, but deep down I don’t like the meaning of it. I also really like [name_f]Nova[/name_f], but it’s a little too spacey for me.
My one and only is [name_f]Gravity[/name_f]…maybe [name_f]Destiny[/name_f] as well.
I consider both potentially unisex: [name_f]Gravity[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f]/[name_m]Roman[/name_m] “[name_f]Vivi[/name_f]” or “[name_u]Gray[/name_u]” and [name_f]Destiny[/name_f] [name_f]Summer[/name_f]/[name_m]Colton[/name_m] “[name_u]Desi[/name_u]” or “[name_u]Destry[/name_u]”
My big deterant is one is so hippy sounding, very different to my other names and not particularly socially acceptable and the other one has some stripperesque connotations so I’m more hesitant. Mainly it’s that they really don’t fit in to my names in the scheme of it all.
