what are your opinions on these names?

[name]Just[/name] wondering on what you think of any of these names, some that I really love but are a bit out there, thanks in advance

[name]Gretchen[/name] / [name]Greta[/name] / [name]Gretel[/name]
[name]Ingrid[/name]/ [name]Enid[/name]
[name]Cornelia[/name] / [name]Cordelia[/name]
[name]Linden[/name] / [name]Lindsey[/name] / [name]Linnet[/name]

[name]Gretchen[/name] / [name]Greta[/name] / [name]Gretel[/name]: I like [name]Greta[/name] and [name]Gretel[/name] better than [name]Gretchen[/name] because of its “wretch” sound.

[name]Peggy[/name]: I think it’s a sweet nickname for [name]Margaret[/name]. I grew up with a sweet [name]Peggy[/name] (just [name]Peggy[/name], not [name]Margaret[/name]), so I have good associations with the name.

[name]Cloris[/name]: It’s too close to a part of the female anatomy for me…

[name]Dulce[/name]: I love the meaning, but worry about pronunciation issues.

[name]Olympia[/name]: I really love this name, and if I were Greek, I’d totally use it. I knew a great [name]Olympia[/name] in college, so I have positive associations with the name.

[name]Ingrid[/name]/ [name]Enid[/name]: I prefer [name]Ingrid[/name] to [name]Enid[/name].

[name]Bernadette[/name]: I think it’s a sweet name. (Plus, I love [name]Bernadette[/name] Peters.)

[name]Marigold[/name]: I love it!

[name]Cornelia[/name] / [name]Cordelia[/name]: [name]Cordelia[/name] is one of my favorite names. I like [name]Cornelia[/name] less because it reminds me of “corn” and “corny.”

[name]Linden[/name] / [name]Lindsey[/name] / [name]Linnet[/name]: [name]Lindsey[/name] feels very, very dated to me (1980s), but I think that [name]Linden[/name] and [name]Linnet[/name] are great alternatives. [name]Do[/name] you like [name]Linnea[/name]?

[name]Judith[/name]: I think it would be refreshing to see a little [name]Judith[/name]/[name]Judy[/name].

[name]Bryce[/name]: It feels trendy to me…

[name]Huxley[/name]: I think of [name]Cliff[/name] Huxtable from the Cosby show. With the Hux beginning, I’d personally worry that kids will realize that it rhymes with a certain F word.

[name]Keane[/name]: I think it’s interesting, in a good way.

[name]Fraser[/name]: I think of [name]Frasier[/name] [name]Crane[/name] from [name]Frasier[/name], and wonder if [name]Fraser[/name] will be mistaken for [name]Frasier[/name].

[name]Demetri[/name]: I’m neutral about [name]Demetri[/name].

[name]Clarence[/name]: I actually think this is cool (in a so-nerdy-it’s-cool way), and I love the [name]Clancy[/name] nickname.

[name]Felix[/name]: I think it’s a great name…

[name]Hector[/name]: I’m not a [name]Hector[/name] fan, because I think of the slang “Heck.”

[name]Breccan[/name]: I think it’s handsome…

[name]Kenneth[/name]: I’m not a [name]Kenneth[/name] fan…

[name]Arno[/name]: I prefer [name]Arlo[/name]…

[name]Quincy[/name]: I think it’s a cool name, but so far, I’ve only seen it on a girl. I wonder if it will go to the girls like [name]Quinn[/name]…

[name]Leopold[/name]: I think it’s very cool, and I love [name]Leo[/name]!

That was fun!

Good luck!

  • [name]LEOPOLD[/name] IS A COOL [name]WAY[/name] TO GET [name]LEO[/name]!

My favorites are [name]Cornelia[/name] “[name]Cora[/name]” [name]Linden[/name] and [name]Leopold[/name] “[name]Leo[/name]” [name]Huxley[/name]!

[name]Gretchen[/name] / [name]Greta[/name] / [name]Gretel[/name]
[name]Ingrid[/name]/ [name]Enid[/name] (love [name]Enid[/name])
[name]Marigold[/name] *
[name]Cornelia[/name] / [name]Cordelia[/name]

[name]Arno[/name] - like as a nn for [name]Arnold[/name]
[name]Quincy[/name] - [name]Love[/name]!
[name]Leopold[/name] - prefer [name]Leonardo[/name] or [name]Leon[/name], sounds a bit pretentious to me

[name]Hope[/name] this was helpful! Good [name]Luck[/name]

[name]Gretchen[/name] / [name]Greta[/name] / [name]Gretel[/name] - Oddly fond of [name]Greta[/name] in particular. It’s old fashioned but classic in a unique sort of way.
[name]Peggy[/name] - A little old ladyish for me. Would prefer it as a nickname.
[name]Cloris[/name] - I’ve never heard this before. Reminds me of [name]Clovis[/name].
[name]Dulce[/name] - Is this pronounced Dul-cee? If so then it’s really quite cute.
[name]Olympia[/name] - A very grand name. It does have a nice ring to it though.
[name]Ingrid[/name]/ [name]Enid[/name] - People say they’re old fashioned but I don’t think they’re bad - especially [name]Enid[/name].
[name]Bernadette[/name] - I vaguely knew a very nice, very smart girl with this name. My favourite on your list so far.
[name]Marigold[/name] - I should just think of marigold gloves but it does have a lovely sound.
[name]Cornelia[/name] / [name]Cordelia[/name] - [name]Cornelia[/name] makes me thinks of Corneas - not nice. But cordelia is beautiful.
[name]Linden[/name] / [name]Lindsey[/name] / [name]Linnet[/name] - I’ve known a few lindsays (male and female) - the others sound too male for a girl though
[name]Judith[/name] - An ok name.
[name]Bryce[/name] - For a girl?

[name]Huxley[/name] - Makes me think of a cartoon called [name]Huxley[/name] Pig (“oink oink”)
[name]Keane[/name] - Makes me think of the English band who I don’t like.
[name]Fraser[/name] - An ok name. My favourite boy’s name so far.
[name]Demetri[/name] - A little exotic unless you have an exotic heritage
[name]Clarence[/name] -A little too old fashioned for me
[name]Felix[/name] - A cat. But it’s growing in popularity and growing on me too.
[name]Hector[/name] - Ok. Nothing special
[name]Breccan[/name] - Nice. I also like Brechin ([name]Bree[/name]-kin). Sounds very naturey.
[name]Kenneth[/name] - Ok but a little formal for me.
[name]Arno[/name] - Interesting name. Havent heard it before.
[name]Quincy[/name] - Prefer [name]Quinn[/name]. This makes me think of Dr.[name]Quincy[/name]
[name]Leopold[/name] - [name]Leo[/name] is a good short name. Not sure about the full thing.

I don’t think I love any of the boy’s names but [name]Fraser[/name] and [name]Breccan[/name] are probably my favourites.
And for girls [name]Cordelia[/name] and [name]Bernadette[/name]. [name]Lovely[/name] names.
