[name_f]Arlene[/name_f], [name_f]Anita[/name_f], [name_f]Sheila[/name_f] and [name_f]Sherry[/name_f] I really love these names and I feel like these are names that you don’t that much anymore these days I think they are very pretty names.
[name_f]Arlene[/name_f] → I think [name_f]Arlene[/name_f] is very pretty and totally ready for a comeback! It has such a strong, elegant sound and great nickname options with [name_f]Arla[/name_f], [name_u]Arlie[/name_u], [name_u]Ari[/name_u], or [name_f]Lena[/name_f]. [name_f]Beautiful[/name_f] choice!
[name_f]Anita[/name_f] → I really like the sound of this name, though I have a little trouble picturing it on a current baby despite the diminutive ending. That said, I would love to meet a little [name_f]Anita[/name_f]! It has such a bright, lyrical sound and peaceful vibe. Plus the nickname [name_f]Annie[/name_f], [name_f]Ana[/name_f], or even [name_f]Nettie[/name_f]. Overall, I like it!
[name_f]Sheila[/name_f] → I love the sound of this name but not so much the look of it. Sound-wise I think it would fit in with current names- two syllables, ends in A, soft and lilting sounds like “L” and “sh”… But looking at it on paper it feels very dated to me.
[name_f]Sherry[/name_f] → This one isn’t my favorite. Personally, I don’t like baby names that are the names of alcohols. [name_m]Even[/name_m] when they’re well-established as names, it feels weird to me because you can never know how someone will feel about alcohol as an adult. Which is too bad, because I would love the similar [name_f]Brandi[/name_f] if it weren’t associated with a drink. Anyway, I also associate this one with the [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] [name_f]Valli[/name_f] song. Maybe you’d also like [name_f]Keri[/name_f], [name_u]Shannon[/name_u], or [name_u]Shelby[/name_u]?
I absolutely love [name_f]Anita[/name_f], one of my top names. [name_m]Classic[/name_m] and beautiful! [name_f]Sheila[/name_f] and [name_f]Sherry[/name_f] are amazing too in a retro-spunky way! [name_f]Arlene[/name_f] is ok, the way it looks is a little clunky to me, but I like the sound!
[name_f]Arlene[/name_f] is pretty cute - it has the sounds of current names
[name_f]Anita[/name_f] is pretty sparky and cute
[name_f]Sheila[/name_f] is a bit clunky for me and [name_f]Sherry[/name_f], while nice in sound, feels a bit alcoholic
[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.
Here are my thoughts-
Arlene-I don’t know. I don’t think that I love it, because maybe it sounds too heavy? It’s still interesting though.
Anita-So so pretty. It’s feminine & spunky & simple but not over done at all.
Sheila-That’s lovely. It’s not a name that I put on my names I like list, but maybe I should. I don’t mind the sound of it, and I like that it’s well known and feminine without being too frilly.
Sherry-I think it’s cute and unexpected. I don’t like how I have a hard time saying [name_f]Sherry[/name_f] instead of cherry. It feels like it has to be too intentional, if that makes any sense at all.
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] my rambling helps.
