Is it too weird? I heard this name used on a little boy last year, and I think that I might love it. Is it really weird and hard to use??

I don’t think it is difficult to pair with middles if that is what you mean by it being difficult to use.

I love [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]! For some reason it never ends up on my list, but I get excited every single time I see it. I would love to meet a baby [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]! I quite like it with your other children, too–[name_m]Killian[/name_m], [name_m]Ronan[/name_m], [name_u]Rory[/name_u], [name_u]Delaney[/name_u], and [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] work well. It doesn’t quite have that Irish vibe that all your other kids’ names have, though.

Yes, that self-fulfilling prophecy would make me hesitate to use it as a first name. I also can imagine a strange conversation ensuring.

Thanks for the comments. I’m really pushing to get my husband on board with this one. We’d definitely use it as a middle name, I think it sounds paired with [name_m]Declan[/name_m]. For some reason, every middle name I put with [name_m]Declan[/name_m] ends up beginning with a W, but [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] is my absolute favorite.

Hmm, it would seem that I pronounce [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] differently. I say [name_m]WILL[/name_m]-der (as opposed to the word WHILE-der). What’s the correct pronunciation?
