We aren’t finding out if baby #2 is a girl or a boy until game time, and we’re struggling with the boy names!
Our daughter’s name is [name_f]Eve[/name_f] ([name_f]Evie[/name_f]).
At the moment, we like [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. Possible combos are [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] (both middles are family names.) We also like [name_u]Kieran[/name_u]. He’d be [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m].
I like [name_f]Eve[/name_f] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] as a sib set more than [name_f]Eve[/name_f] and [name_u]Kieran[/name_u].
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] are both very nice but to me [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] flows slightly better!
I really like both [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] (prefer over [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m]). I think they are both very handsome combos. [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] both sound very nice as sibling sets. I am not sure which I prefer.
Thanks, everyone! My only concern is that I tend to shorten everyone’s name when taking casually to them (I like the [name_f]Eve[/name_f] is [name_f]Evie[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f]). [name_m]Henry[/name_m] doesn’t lend itself to this, because I do not like [name_f]Hen[/name_f], [name_m]Hank[/name_m], [name_m]Hal[/name_m], etc. [name_m]Kier[/name_m] is kinda cute.
I much prefer [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] over [name_m]Henry[/name_m] - I just hear the solid “[name_f]Hen[/name_f]” which makes me think of hens, and hen parties! And the train from [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] the Tank Engine… I don’t know, that’s just me! I like [name_u]Kieron[/name_u] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] a lot more, flows really well with [name_f]Eve[/name_f] or [name_f]Evie[/name_f], as does the nickname “[name_m]Kier[/name_m]”. It would age a lot better. If I was a man (which he will be for most of his life!) this is the name I’d want, it’s a very sophisticated name.
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] makes me think [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] [name_m]Henry[/name_m], the “Give me liberty or give me death” fellow. He’s in my family tree
That aside, I really like [name_m]Henry[/name_m], but I find [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] a little plain for my taste. It is very classic (and classy) though!
[name_u]Kieron[/name_u] could also be “[name_m]Ron[/name_m],” just pointing it out since you like nicknames. [name_m]Kier[/name_m] is good. Also, [name_m]Henry[/name_m] could be “H” or his first and last initials if they sound nice. “H.P.” just makes me think of computers.
I prefer [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] to [name_m]Henry[/name_m] but I feel like [name_m]Henry[/name_m] goes better with [name_f]Eve[/name_f].
I like [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m]!
