In order of preference:
Josephine - As classic as Elizabeth and Catherine, but a tad more playful and unique. I love Josephine’s rhythm and literary credentials. She’s also got a wealth of nicknames for a little one to set themselves apart. Jo, Joey, Josie, Effie, Fia, Phina, JoJo, or even Finn.
Märta - Märta is intriguing. She’s far more streamlined and modern than Martha, warm but still stylish. A solid choice.
Alice - I always have a soft spot for Alice. She feels forever young and playful, but with enough literary cred to avoid seeming childish. Alice could fit many types of women and is beautifully feminine, yet simple and versatile.
Sophia - Sophia feels a bit overpopular to me, but I see the appeal. Beautiful sound, a positive meaning, and is familiar across many cultures. A Sophia feels like a glamorous jet setter.
Astrid - I wish I liked Astrid more than I do. I just find the sound harsh and that beginning syllable doesn’t hit for me as an English speaker. Astrid does have a lot of the same appeal as Alice, though, an all girl name without a frilly or stereotypical sound, only Astrid adds a bit of icy Scandi cool. I just prefer other choices.
