[name]Garrett[/name] is coming up surprising blank in associations. I knew a [name]Jarrett[/name], (pronounced Jhair-et), once, so I go to that, but that is not the same name.
I think you may have found a pretty tabula rasa name there!
Thank you! That’s always a good thing for me (-:
I don’t really think of [name]Garrett[/name] as a classic, but maybe a semi-classic? It reminds me of [name]Barrett[/name] and the last name as fn style. I wouldn’t ever think of [name]Billy[/name] the Kid or cowboys necessarily (it’s not in the same category as [name]Cody[/name], [name]Travis[/name], etc. to me). What about [name]Gareth[/name] or [name]Garth[/name] instead? [name]One[/name] of these might go better with the Irish/Scottish names of your daughters.
I love [name]Garrett[/name] and so does my husband, but we decided we didn’t want to use it because it doesn’t fit at all with our other names. I do love it though
[name]Gareth[/name] is very cool, but I think I’d still choose [name]Garrett[/name] first because it’s a form of [name]Gerard[/name] - patron saint of expectant mothers whom I always pray to.
Okay - looks like hubby isn’t the only one who sees the Western thing. Good to know.
