What can the name "Maisie" be Short for?

I really do love the name [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], but only as a nickname.
What are some girls names that [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] could possibly be short for?

[name_f]Mairead[/name_f]
[name_f]Melisande[/name_f]
[name_f]Melisandre[/name_f]
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f]
[name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]
[name_f]Maris[/name_f]
[name_f]Marissa[/name_f]
[name_f]Marisol[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f]

Some of these are a bit of a stretch, but they can work! I hope you like some of these!

Pretty much any Ma/ [name_f]Mai[/name_f]/[name_f]May[/name_f] name.

As well as [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]/ [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] etc you could have:

[name_f]Martha[/name_f]
[name_u]Marian[/name_u]
[name_f]Magda[/name_f]
[name_f]Marcella[/name_f]
[name_f]Mary[/name_f]
[name_f]Marie[/name_f]
[name_f]Maria[/name_f]
[name_f]Marsha[/name_f]
[name_f]Mabel[/name_f]
[name_u]Maison[/name_u]
[name_f]Maia[/name_f]
Mhairi (although correct pronunciation is with a V sound)
Maiwenn

As well as more obscure (in terms of link) options like
[name_f]Amanda[/name_f]
[name_f]Amarantha[/name_f]
[name_f]Amabel[/name_f]

I think [name_f]Marissa[/name_f] and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] are really amazing as full names for [name_f]Maisie[/name_f].

I don’t have any more suggestions but I just thought I’d say that my 2yo niece is [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] (just [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]) after my sister and I’s great grandmother. Before she was born my sister heard a lot of “It’s too cutesy” but since all that my sister ever hears is what a lovely name it is and it fits the fearless, ingenious and defiant kid perfectly.

I’m not suggesting that you have to like it as a full name but I think that sometimes it helps to hear about actually people with the name

[name_f]Mazarine[/name_f]…

[name_f]May[/name_f] or [name_f]Mae[/name_f] could be called [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]…

[name_f]Mercedes[/name_f] is the only other suggestion I can think of.
