What comes to mind when you hear the name [name]Zinnia[/name]?
I do really, really LIKE this name, and my hubby LOVES it. I just wonder what peoples
first impressions are of this name. I just don’t want people to not know its a floral
name and think its just a crazy Z name I made up. It’s in our top 2, a few weeks to go…
any opinions are so so helpful!! Thank you!
I think of the flower, and also the word ‘zing’. [name]Zinnia[/name] is definitely one of the more livelier floral choices 
I immediately think of the flower as well. It’s a much spunkier choice than [name]Lily[/name] or [name]Rose[/name] or [name]Violet[/name], but still seems very feminine. Not something I would have thought of, personally, but I kind of dig it!
I think it is beautiful and spunky (first thought), and I also think of the flower. [name]Love[/name] it!

I think of the flower as well–it’s a more cutting-edge floral choice, especially with the Z-. Zin is such a cute nickname, too!
I personally love it! So spunky. Although when I mentioned the name to my brother, he definitely made a face. [name]Even[/name] if it’s unfamiliar to some people and you get a neutral/negative reaction from non-name nerds, I think most people could learn to like it, especially on a charming little girl! The Z is fresh and zippy, and the ‘-ia’ ends makes it distinctively feminine to me, so I think it’s easy to like (given time for some).

I didn’t even know [name]Zinnia[/name] as a flower, but I immediately thought of flowers when I saw the name I like it a lot!
[name]Love[/name] Zinnias, love floral names, love Z names, so I really like [name]Zinnia[/name]. I think it is very cutting-edge, but not totally off the reservation. A bold but cool choice.
I like the name. It’s not quite my style for what that’s worth, but it’s pleasing. I think of the flower, also think of [name]Howard[/name] Zinn and someone I once knew named [name]Xenia[/name].
Whenever I think of this name I also think of [name]Azalea[/name], another flower with a z. [name]Do[/name] you like [name]Azalea[/name]?

I think of the word ‘zany,’ and the flower. It makes quite a statement and is a bit bold as a first name, for my taste. It does seem very cutting-edge, hip, and spunky, though. If that’s what you’re after, I’d say go for it Btw, I really like pp’s suggestion of [name]Azalea[/name], as an alternative.
I definitely think of the flower (I actually can’t think of any other association I would have!) Fun, fun name!
I really do like [name]Azalea[/name] too, it just doesn’t feel like “the” name. I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Fern[/name] too, but hubby thinks it’s a boring plant, therefore a boring name. Too bad. Thanks everyone:)
My first thought is flower! My second is… What a great and unexpected surprise! I love the zippy ‘z’ with the feminine ‘ia’ ending. What middle name are you using?

[name]Zinnia[/name] is unusual, but I think it could be pulled off. I also didn’t know that it was a flower, but flowers came to mind immediately. I know it doesn’t grow in Greece, but that’s what I would have guessed based on the impression I got immediately, so there’s that.
