I really like the name [name]Dido[/name] (even if her story is a bit tragic!) but I think the association with the singer and the fact it’s one letter away from something a bit rude :rolleyes: make it a bit unfair to use.
I was just musing on whether there’s a name it would work as a nickname for… Any ideas?

I was thinking [name]Diana[/name]. I disagree a bit with the previous poster, though – I wouldn’t name a little girl [name]Candida[/name]. [name]Candida[/name] is a fungus that causes infections in women. Google it if you want.

I think the association with the singer is very strong, so many people might ask if you’re a huge fan. [name]Diana[/name] is quite used and dated. [name]Dione[/name], Didona, and Dirce are nymphs in greek myth.
