I just thought of this recently. I am 7 months pregnant and have a few stuffed animals waiting for our new arrival (not sure of gender).
I have been having a fun time naming toys as they start to come in

[name_f]Honey[/name_f] the horse
[name_m]Lancelot[/name_m] the bear (named by an Aunty)
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] (for a girl) / [name_u]Floy[/name_u] (for a boy) the bunny
as for me, when I was a baby my Mum named my first toys -
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] the lion and
[name_m]Rufus[/name_m] the dog
Have you named any of your babies toys, or what were the names of your early toys that your parents named? Would be fun to know!
I’m a teenager so I don’t have kids yet! But I have toys which I love with all my heart and I have given them names.
Hedgy - I have this cuddly (stuffed) toy since I was 2 years old my Dad bought him for me. He is really special to me! I gave him this name when I first got him as a little 2 year old girl.
[name_m]Larry[/name_m] - I was given [name_m]Larry[/name_m] as a present from one of the lady who my Dad works with she brought him for me one [name_f]Easter[/name_f]. I gave him the name [name_m]Larry[/name_m] when I first took him out of the box.
[name_u]Bobby[/name_u] - My Dad was given [name_u]Bobby[/name_u] as a [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] present from his sister but my Dad then gave him to me! I’m pretty cure my Dad gave him the name [name_u]Bobby[/name_u] after the [name_u]West[/name_u] [name_m]Ham[/name_m] United player [name_u]Bobby[/name_u] [name_m]Moore[/name_m] (It’s a [name_u]West[/name_u] [name_m]Ham[/name_m] teddy bear) My Dad and I support that football team.

I never named any of my son’s toys or stuffed animals. When he was little he would give a couple of them a name but he would always change them (several times each). He did name his blanket (we got it with his coming home outfit, it matched) Doggy Blankie and that stuck. We still (he is a teen) refer to that blanket as Doggy Blankie. I am shocked we didn’t name, or he didn’t name, his pacifiers. lol He LOVED his pacies.
