What do we think of Maxine as my third girl name? Literally, why have I never considered this with my names before, just in a lot of other sibsets? Plus I get Max in there too?? i could cry :sob::sob:

I absolutely love [name_f]Maxine[/name_f], so Iā€™m super on board. Especially with nn [name_u]Max[/name_u]. Though I also went to college with a [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] ā€œMaxā€ and now I absolutely love that too. And Iā€™m generally not a [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] fan as I strongly dislike the seemingly inevitable [name_f]Maggie[/name_f].

(Sorry, tangent. Yes, [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] is lovely.)

[name_f]Maxine[/name_f] actually feels pretty different from [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] to me? But clearly, you seem to love it, so I donā€™t think it matters too much that itā€™s not a perfect stylistic match? I personally would be more inclined to pair something like [name_f]Maxima[/name_f], Adele/Adeline, [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], [name_f]Thea[/name_f], [name_f]Olive[/name_f], or [name_f]Odette[/name_f] with [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], but maybe thatā€™s just me?

Itā€™s so interesting how different people perceive names! All the ones you mentioned (with the exception of Thea) feel extremely different than [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] & [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] to me lol. Although I agree that [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] isnā€™t a perfect match stylistically, either, but Iā€™ve been looking for years & no names that match in terms of style click with me.

Itā€™s a little unexpected with [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], but I love the name [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] (Max) so Iā€™m happy to see it mentioned anytime. If you love it, maybe it is the third name for you!

I can think of loads of names that feel good with [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], but I know that doesnā€™t always mean theyā€™re names you like! Hereā€™s a few faves thoughā€¦

[name_f]Maxine[/name_f] is a name I want to like because I adore [name_u]Max[/name_u] on a girl but I just canā€™t come around to it. And it does seem a little different to [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] to me although thatā€™s not a big deal really. Itā€™s not absurdly different. I would personally prefer [name_f]Margaux[/name_f] nn [name_u]Max[/name_u] with [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] but I do understand if that feels a bit of a stretch to you.
