[name]Just[/name] curious what the general feeling on this name is… We have been planing to use the name [name]Diane[/name] or [name]Diana[/name] as a middle name if we ever have a little girl. I just got to thinking though - what about maybe using [name]Diana[/name] as a first name - maybe with [name]Annie[/name] as a nn? What do you think? Our top choice at the moment is [name]Elena[/name] [name]Joy[/name] [name]Diane[/name] ([name]Elena[/name] pronounced eh-[name]LAY[/name]-na). [name]Do[/name] you all like that or maybe something like [name]Diana[/name] [name]Joy[/name] better? [name]Both[/name] middle names are family names that we very much want to use, but I’m not totally sure that I like the idea of having two middle names.
Please give me your advice - or what you would do if you were in my shoes… Thanks! Looking forward to any input you can give…
Personally, I think [name]Diana[/name] is one of the perfect names. The most popular it’s been is 50 and has generally held steady around the 100 mark, meaning it’s never been dated and always a classic. It also fell in popularity in 2009.
i am another big fan of [name]Diana[/name]. i think its a great name and you can’t go wrong with it. i perfer it over your other choice…
Big fan of [name]Diana[/name]. Classic but plenty unique. It’s a winner for me!

[name]Love[/name] it, mostly because of [name]Princess[/name] [name]Diana[/name]. It feels very classy and feminine to me.
[name]Diana[/name] is a great choice! It’s really got all the elements that make for a great name. It’s elegant and sophisticated, very feminine, the kind of name a little girl would be lucky to have. Not too serious, but not too whimsical, and the sounds are familiar but unique enough to have real personality. I love it.
My middle name is [name]Diane[/name]! I think its a wonderful name.
Such a BEAUTIFUL name. I love both [name]Diana[/name] and [name]Diane[/name] and also [name]Dinah[/name].
I think it would be very refreshing to see a baby [name]Diana[/name]. I love the nickname [name]Annie[/name]!
Wow! What a pleasant surprise to hear all the positive feedback - I wasn’t expecting so many of you to like the name [name]Diana[/name]!
Now, another question for all of you. What other names are in the same style as [name]Diana[/name]? I’m a little worried that the other names we like might not fit with [name]Diana[/name]. Here are a few names we are considering - please tell me what you think. [name]Elena[/name], [name]Coralie[/name], [name]Cecily[/name], [name]Griffin[/name], [name]Beckett[/name] and [name]Weston[/name]. [name]Do[/name] ANY of those work with [name]Diana[/name]? I’d love to hear your thoughts, or other name suggestions you may have!
I love [name]Diana[/name]! Very classic, pretty…I would pair [name]Diana[/name] with [name]Cecily[/name]. What a great sibset! (Or [name]Cecily[/name] would be a wonderful mn with [name]Diana[/name].)
As for boy’s names to go with [name]Diana[/name], I came up with [name]Alexander[/name] or [name]Julian[/name]. WDYT?
kyemsma, thanks for sharing your thoughts & suggestions! I’m glad you like [name]Diana[/name] and [name]Cecily[/name] together. From our list of girls’ names, I would tend to say that those two are probably my favorites as sisters. Thanks for the suggestions of [name]Alexander[/name] and [name]Julian[/name] for sisters to [name]Diana[/name]. I like both names, but we have a friend with a little boy named [name]Julian[/name], (he’s absolutly adorable I might add ;-)) so that one would be out for us, and although I like [name]Alexander[/name], I’m not sure it’s the “right” one for me… Maybe though - I’d have to think about that one. I appreciate your suggestions!
I always thought [name]Diana[/name] was pretty. I like it more than [name]Elena[/name], but maybe that is because 2 of my friends from college have baby Elenas…is it getting popular?
Thanks for sharing - So glad you like [name]Diana[/name]! I don’t know how popular [name]Elena[/name] is getting. Hopefully not too popular, because we love it and might just end up using it.
Did your friends spell [name]Elena[/name] the same way we do?
