I like that’s quite rare
I like that it’s easy for others to spell, pronounce, and remember.
It starts with K, a beautiful letter!
Umm… nothing? I only like the fact that it was my mum’s favourite name, but no good feelings about the name itself.
nothing really lol
I like that it’s a classic name that’s still common. It’s easy that everyone is familiar with my name. Having a common first name also gives some (online) privacy, especially together with a common surname. I also like that it’s a family name, although I’ve never known the person that my name honors. Finally, I just like the sound and spelling too.
I like that it’s a classic in many languages and that everyone knows how to spell/pronounce it
I love your name!
Thank you!
I like that it’s easy to pronounce and spell, and I never have to worry about correcting anyone on that
Easy to spell and pronounce. Like @Johannaa said, having a common name provides some sort of online privacy so I can openly say my fn, mn, and state and no one will know who I am.
(And @acajou, I started renaming myself from an early age too! I always put “[name_f]Rose[/name_f]” or “[name_f]Jeanette[/name_f]” on my school papers until my mom made me stop because “it would confuse my teachers.”)
Nothing really. I don’t really feel like it’s me. But I love my daughter [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]’s name!
I like that it has old roots, and that my mom loved it and chose it as an honor name for a special family member.
I’m grateful that my mom spelled it the original way, and I love the association with [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f] [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u]. I also like how it’s recognizable, but not super common.
I like that it lends itself to a nickname ([name_m]Jack[/name_m], which is what I go by IRL mostly) that is common and easy to pronounce/spell for most people where I live, but unexpected for my also not super uncommon (but not super common) full name (which no one has guessed before). I also think it suits me.
@Renee5322 I was supposed to be a [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f] when I was born, funnily enough! I never was one though.
Same here
My name really isn’t my style, but I appreciate the spelling ([name_f]Kathryn[/name_f]). I feel like it’s usually less favorable on these boards, but I think it fits my personality much better than the alternative spellings.
That it’s timeless classic.
That it has a sweet meaning.
It’s easy to spell! And it’s unique! And it has a good meaning! And it really suits me!
