I have a really hard time liking names beginning with these letters for the most part… To the extent that I really just don’t even see them. If you have a name, a child named or a favorite name beginning with one or more of these letters please share and if you have a hard time feeling any of these letters as comfortable names discuss I’m stumped
I do think I may like Yorrick, [name_m]Xander[/name_m], [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] & um…?
All I’ve got :-/
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is as far as I go for Q. Maybe even [name_m]Quentin[/name_m], but probably not.
[name_f]Ursula[/name_f] and [name_u]Umber[/name_u] are cool. [name_m]Uriah[/name_m], [name_m]Ulysses[/name_m], [name_f]Uma[/name_f].
[name_m]Xavier[/name_m] and [name_m]Xander[/name_m] are the most popular X names, and I also like [name_f]Xaviera[/name_f].
[name_f]Yelena[/name_f]! I used to know a girl named [name_f]Yelena[/name_f], her family was heavily Russian. I thought it was beautiful. [name_f]Yasmin[/name_f] is okay too, but I hate [name_f]Yolanda[/name_f]. Please don’t name your child [name_m]Yuri[/name_m].
“[name_m]Quest[/name_m] (if [name_u]West[/name_u] is a name, why not”
I love [name_m]Quest[/name_m], I had a pet that I gave this name a while back. Which I should not have done because I know I would have used it for a middle name for a boy :-/ I guess theoretically I still could but well you see… Great suggestion though!!!
Lots of good suggestions actually. And I think Y might be so hard because it would be culturally inappropriate for is to ever have say a Yessabel or something like that? Though I know of a family who has one and its no more appropriate for them they call her [name_f]Essy[/name_f]…
[name_m]Uriah[/name_m] I have no problem with but would end up being called [name_m]Uri[/name_m] I’m quite confident and my husband hates it but that’s beside the point, definitly tougher sounds to really get into.
I knew a girl who had a half a dozen siblings and their family named them all Z names her name was [name_f]Zara[/name_f] and there was a [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] I think and maybe a few others where a was switched out for Z, everyone was taking all the names she liked she she just popped a z before them and they came across as legitimate names, conservative family she wasn’t trying to be unique or anything wonky. I thought that was interesting, z is more palatable but quite close to S so I tend to lean more toward S when there is an option though there are many quite nice Z names… x ( why I bring this up) is sometimes used in the same way like Xara/ [name_f]Zara[/name_f]…[name_m]Xavier[/name_m]/ [name_m]Zavier[/name_m]… And I see an [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] born nearly every month at our hospital so I think x is quite popular., but X still I gloss over it, I think its very funny.
Does anyone else have any letters they don’t really look at when thinking about names?
I love the names [name_f]Yolanthe[/name_f] and [name_f]Yvaine[/name_f]. [name_m]Quill[/name_m] is one I like for a boy. I don’t like any other Q names, and I find most begining with U off-putting for some reason. I like a handful of X names, but thats about it.
Wow thanks ! Keep them coming! I forgot about [name_f]Unity[/name_f], that’s right up there with [name_f]Verity[/name_f] for me I think I know someone that just had a baby called [name_m]Quill[/name_m], I agree its a nice q name that’s ok Z often less shared so it doesn’t hurt! I think of them Y is the very hardest, I’m trying to warm to it still . When someone says my children are Y-, Y-, & U- I want to say oh those are nice if they are and not just glaze over
Q: I really like the name [name_u]Quincy[/name_u] for a boy. I didn’t notice it at first, but I had a dream that I had a son named [name_u]Quincy[/name_u] and it kind of grew on me, you know?
U: The only names I can stand that start with U are [name_m]Uriah[/name_m] and [name_f]Una[/name_f].
X: I love [name_m]Xavier[/name_m]. I’ve always thought that [name_u]Quincy[/name_u] and [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] would make a nice sibset together. I think [name_m]Xander[/name_m] is nice, too.
Y: As far as Y goes, I’m not crazy about any names, but when I’m forced to pick a Y name, I usually go with Yaxley for a boy and [name_f]Yvette[/name_f] for a girl.
So many great thoughts, seems like [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] is quite popular and yea I think I could like [name_u]Yale[/name_u]!! Great one!
So I think top names with these letters
[name_m]Quest[/name_m]/[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]
[name_m]Xander[/name_m]/ Xane
[name_u]Yale[/name_u]/ Yorrick
[name_m]Uriah[/name_m] I guess
