What do you make of this!

Stumbled upon the name Franqui (normally a surname) and thought it could make a cute middle name for a girl? --pronounced [name]Frankie[/name]. Any thoughts?

[name]Fran[/name] qui means "[name]Fran[/name] Who? in French. It doesn’t look or sound right to me. What’s wrong with [name]Frankie[/name]?

I think it looks like a yooneek version of [name]Frankie[/name]. If it was a family name I would say definitely use it, otherwise I think it’s alittle cheesy :frowning: Sorry

Agree…the spelling of Franqui looks too yooneek for a fn. If you like the name itself as it is, why not just spell it as: [name]Frankie[/name].

Yea, i gotta agree - the name just looks misspelled and like it’s trying to make a well known name stand out from the crowd.

What everyone else said.

This whole “I saw a unique last name and wanna use it as a first name” thing is getting old. Leave it as a surname, especially if it isn’t a family surname.
