As some fo you know, I’m currently in the process of revamping my UC. How do you feel about [name_m]Lazarus[/name_m]? Is it too much, or ready for a comeback?
Any other suggestions?

[name_m]Ty[/name_m]!
I think it’s perfect. It’s very strong and grand sounding, reminds me of [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], which is very popular, in that regard.
The Hungarian [name_m]Laszlo[/name_m] (lawz-lo) might catch your eye!
Ooh, that description is lovely! [name_m]Laszlo[/name_m] is super cool and unique, love it.
You should get a lot of love for [name_m]Lazarus[/name_m] here on NB (you could go looking for my fairly recent thread, “[name_m]Ransom[/name_m], [name_m]Tobias[/name_m], and…[name_m]Lazarus[/name_m]?”) It made me happy. I had liked [name_m]Lazarus[/name_m] for years but had trouble seeing it as usable; but that thread helped change my mind.
I don’t know that it’s The One for us, as my husband isn’t sold, but it’s on our shortlist. I’d love to meet a little [name_m]Lazarus[/name_m].
Lazarus is bold but I think it’s usable
For me it’s a family name (my mother’s uncle, grandfather and great grandfather were all called [name_m]Lazarus[/name_m]) so it has a special place in my heart. I do think it’s usable for sure, if a little out there. I’m not sure about nicknames though, Laz is a bit obnoxious to me and I don’t know if [name_m]Russ[/name_m] is a stretch. But definitely it deserves more love!
Yes. Bring back [name_m]Lazarus[/name_m].
I honestly think it sounds pretty cool and it has a great meaning. I don’t see why not.
[name_m]Eleazar[/name_m] gives me a similar vibe.
It’s very bold but I actually really like it. The nickname lazlo is brilliant too.
Honestly I love this name. It’s a brand new love for me (I’ve been listening to a song that has it in it and after like five or six times of hearing it I was like “wow, [name_m]Lazarus[/name_m] is such an awesome name”) and I think it has a lot of potential to be an alternative to a lot of [name_m]Greco[/name_m]-[name_m]Roman[/name_m] sounding names that seem to be continually popular. It’s also a great biblical reference (if that’s your thing) with a beautiful imagery of faith and healing. It has a really cool and unique sound to it too, and it’s widely known so it’s not unheard of and there would be minimal trouble with pronunciation and spelling issues. [name_m]Lazlo[/name_m] and [name_m]Laz[/name_m] would be cute nicknames for it too.
Ready for a comeback.
I love it! I’m really into the [name_u]Bowie[/name_u] song by that name, and adding in the history, it makes it completely magical to me.
It’s very cool! I don’t see it making a comeback in real life soon, but in naming communities it’s a fresh, quirky choice.
It’s perfect! I love the name [name_m]Lazarus[/name_m]. I’ve had combos [name_m]Lazarus[/name_m] [name_m]Ransom[/name_m] and [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Lazarus[/name_m].
Lazarus [name_m]Ransom[/name_m]
(I have a [name_m]Ransom[/name_m] and have been considering [name_m]Lazarus[/name_m] as a brother)
I got it from your post
That’s awesome
Would not use outside of a videogame or book.
I babysat a 4 year old with this name, he went by [name_m]Lazar[/name_m]! it suited him and I grew to really like it! His siblings were [name_u]Luca[/name_u] and [name_f]Lyra[/name_f]
I’ve loved the name [name_m]Lazarus[/name_m] for years! It’s nice to see some berries starting to love it too!
I like it!
