Thoughts on [name_m]Algernon[/name_m]?
[name_m]Algernon[/name_m] is literary, cool and handsome- a bold choice though

Reminds me heavily of the short story Flowers for [name_m]Algernon[/name_m] so much so that I would tie up whoever had the name directly with the main character

[name_f]My[/name_f] first association is The Importance of Being [name_m]Earnest[/name_m]. I think the name is kind of clunky-cool, but I can’t be certain how well it would wear irl. Especially with there not being any really appealing nickname options that I can think of.
I want to like it because it’s a grand old name that really deserves to make a comeback, but the sound is just too stodgy for me personally. I feel the same way about [name_m]Archibald[/name_m], but I feel like [name_m]Archie[/name_m] freshens that name up in a way that [name_m]Algie[/name_m] doesn’t.

Similar to katinka, I want to like it & I want it to make a comeback because I love the strong literary connection, but it always reminds me of allergies
