Thoughts on Marian?
Definitely reminds me of the [name_u]Robin[/name_u] Hood character! I like that it isnāt super common but its still recognizable. There are some good nickname possibilities too- [name_f]Mari[/name_f], [name_u]Ari[/name_u], [name_u]Rian[/name_u], [name_f]Ann[/name_f], [name_f]Mia[/name_f]!
I used to have [name_u]Marian[/name_u] on my long list, and I still really like it, I just chose [name_f]Marianne[/name_f] over it. I also strongly associate it with Maid [name_u]Marian[/name_u], which I think gives it a strong, naturey vibe!
I think [name_u]Marian[/name_u] a lovely name, although itās dated.
I have a cousin named [name_u]Marian[/name_u] who is about 13! I think this name is coming back in style and we call her the sweet nickname āMereā!
I quite like [name_u]Marian[/name_u]. It reminds me of The Woman in White by [name_m]Wilkie[/name_m] [name_u]Collins[/name_u], which is cool
I would be happy for it to start getting more use. Itās classy, feminine, but frills-free. I think of [name_u]Marian[/name_u] the Librarian, but I doubt most people below the age of 50 do, lol.
Itās the name of one of my family friends, and I love it because of her! It feels very warm to me.
[name_u]Marian[/name_u] makes me ahhhh out loud sheās so gorgeous! [name_u]Marian[/name_u] is timeless, elegant and enchanting she has great connotations with [name_u]Robin[/name_u] Hood and this whole classic whimsical vibe that really appeals. I like that the meaning is ādrop of the sea; belovedā (letās ignore bitter ) as to me the name loosely translates as beloved sea and I love the sea so of course I love the name even more. [name_u]Marian[/name_u] is great.
Iām a fan! I think itās pretty and contained. It also feels ready for a comeback!
I always think of Maid [name_u]Marian[/name_u]. I loved her so so much as a child, so this name feels extra sweet! I think itās very pretty. [name_f]Vintage[/name_f] and charming. Familiar, but rarely heard. Very warm and very quaint!
[name_u]Marian[/name_u] is gorgeous!! I love [name_f]Mary[/name_f] variants in general, but [name_u]Marian[/name_u] is by far my favorite. It makes me think of [name_u]Robin[/name_u] Hood, The Woman in White, and The [name_f]Music[/name_f] [name_u]Man[/name_u]!
[name_u]Marian[/name_u] is elegant. I am surprised to see she was top 100 between 1912 & 1934. I have only known three Marian/ Marionās.
It has always made me think of [name_u]Robin[/name_u] Hood, but other than that I think itās a lovely name.
