Thoughts on [name_f]Virginia[/name_f]?
I really like [name_f]Virginia[/name_f]. I knew one who went by [name_f]Gia[/name_f], which is so cool.
i love virginia! it’s literary and cool, and the nickname “ginny” is just too cute, imo.
I do like the literary vibe and nn [name_f]Ginny[/name_f]
I think it’s a lovely name. But the teasing potential does give me pause.
I think it’s very very pretty. I love the nickname [name_f]Ginny[/name_f]! I know a really intelligent, interesting [name_f]Virginia[/name_f], and she goes by [name_f]Gigi[/name_f]!
[name_u]Love[/name_u] it! And echoing all the cute nickname options
I like it! It feels very vintage-chic. I actually know of a [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] here at my university – kind of surprising that the only one I’ve ever known is my age, but surprising in a good way.
It’s not one of my favorites.
I like it!!
I’m quite fond of it— it used to be one of my favorites though my tastes have slightly changed. The nickname [name_f]Ginny[/name_f] is a huge draw to the name for me, and I find myself liking a lot of place names. Overall, I’m definitely a fan.
I was neutral on it until I read the [name_u]Red[/name_u] Rising trilogy by [name_m]Pierce[/name_m] [name_m]Brown[/name_m] and grew to love it. It features a great character named [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] “Mustang” who is so intelligent and tactical but has such a sense of justice. I also love that is has ties in classic literature and that everyone knows it but it’s not too popular.
I grew up in [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] (the state) so that makes me both feel positively towards the sound and also kind of think of it as a state name not a person name. I think it has fabulous nickname potential (Gia, [name_f]Ginny[/name_f], [name_f]Gigi[/name_f], [name_f]Vivi[/name_f], V, etc). I don’t really think of “virgin” when I think of this name (because, again, I got used to thinking of the state) but I imagine many people would.
i really like virginia but probably wouldn’t use it, for some reason it sounds so american to me (i’m australian i’ve never heard of an australian virginia)
