Hello!! I recently found out I was pregnant and I’m so excited.
I have loved the name [name_u]Cruz[/name_u] for years. My husband likes it, but suggested [name_m]Crew[/name_m]. I had never heard of it, but am starting to love it. I like [name_m]Crew[/name_m] because it has a nautical feel and my first date with my husband was on a sailboat. To me, each name has a very different feel. I also like [name_m]Crew[/name_m] because [name_u]Cruz[/name_u] is starting to get a little popular. Do you think Crew sounds like a first name? Do you know any boys name Cruz or Crew?
If my first child is a boy, what do you think, [name_u]Cruz[/name_u] or [name_m]Crew[/name_m]?
For you, I think I prefer [name_m]Crew[/name_m]. It has a preppy feel to me, and is definitely nautical. [name_u]Cruz[/name_u] has a bit more of a bad boy vibe, which doesn’t seem to be what you’re going for.
Definitely [name_m]Crew[/name_m]! It has that lovely nautical vibe and is a sweet tribute to you and your husband. I would love to meet a little [name_m]Crew[/name_m]! [name_u]Cruz[/name_u]…maybe a bit popular, I think it lacks [name_m]Crew[/name_m]'s charm. Good luck!
I personally [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_m]Crew[/name_m], and always have, but I cannot use it because of my last name. Please use [name_m]Crew[/name_m]! I would be so jealous. I definitely think [name_m]Crew[/name_m] sounds more nautical/preppy/nice than the bad boy [name_u]Cruz[/name_u] (not that [name_u]Cruz[/name_u] is a bad name, just I like [name_m]Crew[/name_m] a lot more).
[name_u]Cruz[/name_u] is better that [name_m]Crew[/name_m]. [name_m]Crew[/name_m] feels more pretentious than preppy. If you want nautical, I’d go with [name_f]Cruise[/name_f]
I don’t care for [name_m]Crew[/name_m] but love Krewe. It’s lively and has a certain mystique that [name_m]Crew[/name_m] is lacking
I definitely lean toward [name_m]Crew[/name_m] because I feel as if [name_u]Cruz[/name_u] is more suited as a Middle or last name. [name_m]Crew[/name_m] sounds so modern and I love the connection between the sailboat date and [name_m]Crew[/name_m].
I agree that [name_m]Crew[/name_m] is more pretentious than preppy. All I can picture is some stuck up rich teenager snob on the rowing crew at some boarding school with messy hair and a popped collar. Not exactly the best image, [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
[name_u]Cruz[/name_u] is much, much nicer. It evokes a nautical feel while still having a separate meaning, which is equally nice (cross).
