Estée (or [name_f]Asti[/name_f]): I pronounce Estée more like S-tay than [name_f]Asti[/name_f]. Estée has the Lauder connection, but I don’t think it detracts from the name. If anything, I would think it would help would pronunciation. With [name_f]Asti[/name_f] I’d hesitate based on the emphasis on the As sound which for me sounds close to the slang for a body part. It’s also close to a word (put a N before the name and you’ll know which one I am thinking of).

[name_f]Maja[/name_f] is the Scandinavian spelling for [name_f]Maya[/name_f], but I think you are right about pronunciation issues considering I live in the US. Same goes for [name_f]Rhea[/name_f], but I really don’t like the other spelling variations for that one.
[name_f]Melanie[/name_f] is kind of outdated and it doesn’t exactly fit with my style… but I have always liked that name and I am a huge Gone with The Wind fan… I think [name_f]Melanie[/name_f] [name_m]Hamilton[/name_m] is one of the truest and strongest literary female figures, I just love her. [name_m]Rhett[/name_m] is also a Gone with The Wind reference.
[name_f]Lana[/name_f] and [name_m]Clark[/name_m] are both Superman references lol. Hubby loves Superman. There is no way that I would use both though, it would have to be one or the other.
