- Is it too matchy of [name_f][/name_f] a set because of the same first letter [name_f][/name_f]? [name_f][/name_f]
- What middle names would you give them? [name_f][/name_f]
- How do you picture the girls or parents [name_f][/name_f]- what associations come to mind? [name_f][/name_f]
- [name_f][/name_f]
- [name_f][/name_f]
Not too matchy at all! Their sounds are distinct enough from each other, especially with the long A in [name_f]Ada[/name_f] versus the short A sound in [name_f]Agnes[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f] - [name_f][/name_f]
I like [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Marianne[/name_f] and [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], or [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f] - [name_f][/name_f]
Hmmm… I think I could imagine different types of people/parents with children of these names. I would imagine them living in a suburban American or [name_f]English[/name_f] area. I imagine [name_f]Ada[/name_f] and [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] with dark blonde hair, wearing frilly, vintage-y type dresses. I can see them enrolled in art and music classes, and also excelling at science. Not sure why, just the vibes I sort of get!

- I agree with @rosajune[name_f][/name_f] on number 1! [name_m]Plenty[/name_m] of people use much more matchy twin names lol. [name_f][/name_f]
- Floral/feminine options: [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] / [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] Lavender; [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Bloom[/name_f] / [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] Fern; [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] / [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] Camellia; [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Wren[/name_f] / [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] Lark; [name_f]Vintage[/name_f] options: [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] / [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] Eleanor; [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] / [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] Pearl; [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] / [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] Ruth; [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] / [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] Winifred; [name_f]Lyrical[/name_f] options: [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Seren[/name_f] / [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] Isolde; [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] / [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_f]Vesper[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]
- I’m not great at these abstract questions, forgive me. I would expect the parents to be lovers of tradition/history to some extent. [name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Ada[/name_f] & [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] are such cute twin names! Not
[name_f][/name_f]too matchy at all.
[name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] & [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] & [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] & [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]
- [name_f][/name_f]
- No, I don’t think so! [name_f][/name_f] They don’t share very many similar sounds, despite sharing the first initial. [name_f][/name_f] If anything, [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] feels more vintage than [name_f]Ada[/name_f] to me, so originally I was thinking they felt more different than similar. [name_f][/name_f] Especially with the familiarity of other names with similar construction to [name_f]Ada[/name_f], like Ava/Eva, [name_m]Asa[/name_m], [name_f]Azalea[/name_f], [name_f]Arabella[/name_f], etc., which all feel pretty modern to me. [name_f][/name_f] But the more I sat on it, the more they seem to work well together. [name_f][/name_f]
- I like the idea of something like [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] and [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_f]Juniper[/name_f], or [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Brigitte[/name_f] and [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_f]Liv[/name_f]? [name_f][/name_f]
- I don’t know that I’d make any preconceived notions about what their parents would be? [name_f][/name_f] If anything, it would be positive, though. [name_f][/name_f]
- [name_f][/name_f]
- [name_f][/name_f]
I think they’re different enough [name_f][/name_f]- different A sounds, letter lengths, and different endings.
[name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f] - [name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Mirabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_f]Ramona[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f] - [name_f][/name_f]
Slight cottagecore vibes [name_f][/name_f]- growing flowers and veg, cute, vintage clothes, and storybooks
[name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]
- They’re very distinct names really but the impression of being too similar might come from Ada having a second A so that there are three A sounds in the pairing?
- Ada Gwen and Agnes Ramona. Or Ada Penelope and Agnes Ramona to balance length but i love how succinct Ada Gwen sounds.
- I’ve gone storybook mode on these two: They conjure a scene of girls who live in a rural area in a big house with a library, who have music lessons and get to play outside a lot. The parents are quite traditional looking from the outside but they are revealed to be quite eccentric, away from the girls quite a lot, following their passions.
I definitely don’t think [name_f]Ada[/name_f] and [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] it too matchy! [name_f]Ada[/name_f] and [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] is a great combo for Twins! For middle names I like [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f] and [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] or [name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Simone[/name_f] and [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_f]Alana[/name_f]! I don’t think anything specific about the kids or the parents when it comes to these names!
I agree with this!
They are sweet together, just the right side of clunky vintage. I guess my only hesitation would be that Ada doesn’t particularly lend itself to a nickname where Agnes could be an Aggie or a Ness/Nessie. But Ada and Ness are a cute pair too, so
They’re stylish names without being too trendy (although Ada is sitting at 37 in England, but having sister Agnes brings out her vintage vibes more than her popular girl vibes), and feel sensible and un-frilly which is refreshing.
edit: forgot middles! I’d choose Ada Rosalind and Agnes Ophelia (accidentally both Shakespearean!)
[name_f]Love[/name_f] them.
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Ada[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] and [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] [name_f]Leonor[/name_f]
I don’t think they are too matchy, the names just aren’t my style at all
