I think it’s a very contemporary choice and fits nicely with your sons names. [name]Adalyn[/name] is a little trendy and popular but also feels like a vintage classic - [name]Ada[/name] and [name]Addy[/name] are lovely, too.
I prefer the [name]Adeline[/name] spelling, personally (looks cleaner), but [name]Adalyn[/name] is not horrible.
I like [name]Adalyn[/name] a lot although I prefer the [name]Adeline[/name] spelling. [name]Makenzie[/name] is not really my thing but I like that you both incorporated your likes in the name.
Is there any particular reason you want to use that spelling? Using the real spellings will keep the “modern” feel but the name with age better.
And I don’t know if it matters since it’s a middle name but [name]MacKenzie[/name] is extremely common at the elementary school where I work. (It’s weird how regional naming trends can be!)
It’s a modern choice.
I like it.
[name]Adalyn[/name] does sound a bit like “madelyn” without a “M” to me. Sadly a bit like [name]Elodie[/name]- which as much as I love it sounds like [name]Melody[/name].
I think you may get spelling troubles- [name]Adelyn[/name], [name]Adeline[/name], [name]Adaline[/name] etc
Possibly pronounciation issues- I would say it as “ad-a-lyn” but a PP thought it was [name]ADA[/name]-lyn
That said, I like it.
I have a soft spot for [name]Mackenzie[/name] too. Agree on the ‘c’.
[name]Lovely[/name] choice - goes well with your other sons names and fits your style well I would personally spell it [name]Adeline[/name] [name]Mackenzie[/name] but that is just personal preference.
P.S if you are worried about pronunciation - which is why some people choose the [name]Adalyn[/name] spelling - think [name]Madeline[/name] - rhymes with [name]Adeline[/name], I think people would pronounce it just as easily
We are wanting the [name]Add[/name]-a-lyn pronunciation. I like the spelling [name]Adeline[/name] but I do not want the “line” ending. I’m not picky on the [name]Makenzie[/name] thing I have no problem with [name]Mackenzie[/name].
