My sister loves this name which I find really odd because her favourite girl names are [name]Kendall[/name], [name]Madison[/name], [name]Gracie[/name]-[name]Mae[/name] and [name]Summer[/name] - which are all very trendy.
I think of [name]Jessica[/name] [name]Alba[/name] when I hear it.
Not really a fan of it. But not terrible, I guess.
I don’t like [name]Alba[/name] at all. I would automatically assume, a little girl named [name]Alba[/name] was named after [name]Jessica[/name] [name]Alba[/name], and I am not a fan of naming children after celebrities.
I think it it terrible. But, so are [name]Madison[/name] and [name]Kendall[/name].
[name]Kendall[/name] isn’t trendy at all!
I sort of like [name]Alba[/name] as a nickname for [name]Albany[/name].
I absolutely adore the name [name]Alba[/name], ever since they used it for the daughter in The Time [name]Traveller[/name]'s Wife.
I may be partial, though, because I have a great aunt named [name]Rosalba[/name]. I’ve had the name on my list for a little while. I think it’s sweet, beautiful, and simple.
I think that in a few years it won’t be associated with [name]Jessica[/name] [name]Alba[/name] anymore, no worries :).
Tell your sister that this is definitely the best name on her list!
I had never heard of this name until the Time Travellers Wife.
I myself am not a huge fan. I think it sounds cute for a baby or toddler, but once they grow up it sounds weird.
Maybe give them a very classic middle name, so that if they don’t like it when they’re older they can use their middle name.
I really like [name]Alba[/name]. It’s chic, sleek, and regal. To me [name]Alba[/name] sounds very medieval, but she’s also pared-down and modern, perfectly at home in a class with [name]Bailey[/name] and [name]Ava[/name]. [name]Jessica[/name] [name]Alba[/name] definitely isn’t my primary or even secondary association, and I doubt she’ll be well remembered enough in ten years for this to be an issue as [name]Alba[/name] grows up.
I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]ALBA[/name]! I would absolutely use it
When I first heard it, I thought it was kind of weird, but I had a roommate named [name]Alba[/name] a few years ago and as soon as I met her, my view of the name changed from “weird” to “I want to use that!”
It’s a really popular name in Spain.
