We are just starting to think of trying for a second baby. [name_u]Alden[/name_u] was one of our top choices for our first and it seems to have grown on us in the last year plus. Would love to know any associations or thoughts on the name? Most likely combos would be:
[name_u]Alden[/name_u] was my #1 for YEARS when I was TTC. It finally fell out of favor with my husband, so we ended up not using it. We would have gone with [name_u]Alden[/name_u] [name_m]Xavier[/name_m]. I love the name, love the meaning, love that it’s easy to spell and is recognizable but uncommon. With that said, it will absolutely be misread as [name_u]Aiden[/name_u], and will probably be mispronounced as “[name_m]Al[/name_m]-den”. Neither of those things were enough of a deterrent to me. Good luck TTC #2!
I love [name_u]Alden[/name_u]. So handsome and not common. [name_u]Alden[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_u]Alden[/name_u] [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] both sound really good to me.
I love [name_u]Alden[/name_u]! I love the name & the meaning. It is such a strong yet gentle name. [name_u]Alden[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] is my favorite - so handsome.
I babysat for a little boy named [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_u]Alden[/name_u] (and little brother, [name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m]) years ago and I always thought it was classic and so elegant. A timeless choice.
[name_u]Alden[/name_u] reminds me of the Boxcar Children series, as that was the kids and their grandfather’s last name. The grandfather was [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_u]Alden[/name_u] and the eldest child was [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_u]Alden[/name_u]. [name_u]Alden[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] sounds lovely.
Nice name. Great meaning. I like [name_u]Alden[/name_u] [name_m]Robert[/name_m]. [name_u]Alden[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] is nice too of course, [name_u]James[/name_u] works with pretty much everything. [name_u]Auden[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] would be cool.
