What do you think of alliteration?

I am wondering what you guys think of alliteration? This would be for a first and middle name.

Some examples would be…
[name_f]Amy[/name_f] [name_f]Annabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f]

I am looking for L names for the middle name spot for the first name [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. For the moment I am just playing around with options and ideas. Some ideas I have had are [name_f]Leora[/name_f]/[name_f]Liora[/name_f], [name_f]Leonor[/name_f], [name_f]Lilias[/name_f], [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], [name_f]Livia[/name_f], [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f], [name_f]Lauren[/name_f], [name_f]Laura[/name_f], [name_f]Lara[/name_f]. I think I prefer 3 syllables with my first name and surname which is [name_m]Brooks[/name_m].

Any ideas and thoughts?

I’m a fan of alliteration! More so with the first name and the surname (think [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_m]Boon[/name_m], not something overly matchy like [name_f]Carol[/name_f] [name_m]Carlson[/name_m]) but I’d consider doing the same with middle names.
I’d avoid a short L name with [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Liora[/name_f]/[name_f]Lilia[/name_f]/[name_f]Lara[/name_f]/[name_f]Laura[/name_f] don’t work that well and sound a bit tacky. I like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f]! [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Laurel[/name_f] could be cute too.

I like alliteration.
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] is the only one that sounds like it belongs together. Sounds amazing!

I like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Lenore[/name_f] ([name_m]Len[/name_m]-nor) with just the 2 syllables for the middle, rather than the [name_f]Leonor[/name_f] (lee-oh-nor).

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Lorraine[/name_f] is very pretty
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Leonore[/name_f] or [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Lenore[/name_f] both lovely

[name_m]Just[/name_m] don’t do [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Lou[/name_u]!

My first thought was [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Leona[/name_f]! I also love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Leighton[/name_u] (lay-ton), [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Lennox[/name_u], and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Loretta[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is very pretty, despite general opinion generally hating this.

I really like alliteration!

With [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], I would just avoid a middle name where [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] could also be the nickname for it… like not [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] (obviously), [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] doesn’t work for me for the same reason.

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Lenore[/name_f] (though I like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] more)
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Liliana[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Leilani[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f]

I also think names like…
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Elaine[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Ellianna[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Alana[/name_f]
… feel alliterative without being as obvious.

I just recently came across Laureline - and think that could fit quite well. So would suggest [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] Laureline

I do also like the previously suggested [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f].

I gotta say [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] Laureline may take the cake for me, I’m liking it quite a bit and it has a completeness to it.

Anyway, here’s some other suggestions (going based on sound/desire for longer middle):

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Lennox[/name_u]

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Linnea[/name_f]

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Leona[/name_f]

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Lorenza[/name_f]

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Leocadia[/name_f]

  • Edit: I just realized some of these combos were previously suggested. Thinking alike!
