No I don’t think this name is a good idea. What about [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f], [name_f]Anya[/name_f] or [name_f]Annika[/name_f]? Or elle names such as [name_f]Giselle[/name_f], [name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f], [name_f]Marielle[/name_f]?

Yeah sorry I have to agree with everyone else; all I see is anal and I think the pronunciation isn’t intuitive enough so your baby might actually get called anal at times. Definite pass on this one
I think it’s pretty! “ah-nah-el” is how I’d pronounce it ([name_f]Ana[/name_f]ëlle). I have a thing for [name_m]French[/name_m] names though and I know the general US population wouldn’t know how to pronounce it / never seen or heard it before.
Maybe a little tough to wear in the US. I think it’s more usable as a middle in a place that does not speak [name_m]French[/name_m]!
My first thought was Anael from Supernatural, but it is very close to anal. Maybe [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] or [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f]?

I like pronunciation, but it looks like someone left the “b” out of [name_f]Anabelle[/name_f]. At least, that’s what I thought it read when I first read it quickly. I don’t think there is a way around the “anal” association, I personally don’t notice that first about this name, but some people might.

A similar name would be [name_f]Eliana[/name_f], “My Gd Answered.”
I know a lot of girls named [name_f]Eliana[/name_f], and at least 3 named [name_f]Anaelle[/name_f].

Unfortunately when I first saw it I thought it was pronounced “anally.” Not a fan, but there are some other suggestions here I think work well.
