What do you think of Brooklee?

Brooklee is the only name my husband and I can agree on for a girl. We are torn between Brooklie, Brooklee, or Brookleigh. What do you think of the name and what’s your favorite spelling? We love Brooklee [name_f]Sophia[/name_f].

To be honest, it sounds too close to broccoli to my ears.

I’d go for just [name_u]Brooke[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u]/[name_u]Leigh[/name_u] and use [name_u]Lee[/name_u]/[name_u]Leigh[/name_u] as a middle name or [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u]. As for the spellings, I’d pick Brooklie out of your options. Good luck!

I love [name_u]Brooke[/name_u], [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u] and most -lee names but I’m not crazy about Brooklee  It definitely seems made up, it doesnt really have the surname feel of [name_u]Blakely[/name_u] or [name_f]Brynlee[/name_f]/[name_u]Brinley[/name_u], BUT, with [name_f]Brynlee[/name_f], [name_f]Brylee[/name_f] and [name_f]Braylee[/name_f] being so popular right now, I think it could work.

Brooklee [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] is really cute! I’d stick to Brooklee or Brooklie for spelling though.

I give it two thumbs down. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_u]Brooke[/name_u]? Much more classic with the handsome [name_m]Liam[/name_m].

It’s a no from me, not in any spelling. [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_u]Brooke[/name_u] is a great idea.

What about [name_f]Bronte[/name_f], which I think is lovely? Or [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] or [name_f]Briar[/name_f]?

It’s not my cup of tea (sorry—I hear “broccoli” too), but it fits right in with other [name_u]Brook[/name_u]- and -lee names.

Personally, I might spell it Brookley (like [name_m]Berkeley[/name_m]—sort of the surname feel). But of the options you listed, I prefer Brooklee. [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] is a very lovely middle.

It’s not my style, but I would suggest Brookley. Maybe Brenley would work? It has a similar sound, but feels a little more substantial.

Brookley or Brooklee would be better and less visually cluttered than -leigh.

Personally I’d like [name_f]Briar[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] as first/middle combo. That’d be very pretty. Random, but I also Betony and [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] as similar-rhythm floral names.

Betony [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]
[name_f]Bryony[/name_f] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]
[name_u]Brook[/name_u] [name_f]Leora[/name_f]
[name_u]Brooke[/name_u] Lysandra
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_u]Brook/name_u

Does anyone but me like [name_u]Lee[/name_u] alone anymore? First or middle. I find it so streamlined and graceful.

What about just [name_u]Brooke[/name_u] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]? [name_u]Brooke[/name_u] on its own is absolutely gorgeous and the combo is lovely. Sounds great with [name_m]Liam[/name_m] too!

(Or if you really want the extra syllable, [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u] is a lot better than Brooklee in my opinion)

Not my style at all, sorry. [name_u]Lee[/name_u] as an ending to names is way overdone right now. [name_u]Brooke[/name_u] is very pretty. [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u] is nicer for a girl than a boy, for sure - sorry, [name_m]David[/name_m] and [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]. [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] is lovely as a middle name, actually. Many names are overused as middles, but [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] is overused as a first. I like it as a middle name. It does work with a modern first, but I like very few - only [name_f]Meadow[/name_f], [name_f]Cadence[/name_f], [name_m]Arrow[/name_m] and a few others.

I think its nice. Though I like [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u]/n much more, i think Brookley (this spelling) is quite lovely.

I’d stick with [name_u]Brooke[/name_u] or [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u] or something similar.
