What do you think of the name [name]Coralie[/name]?
We are expecting our second in [name]July[/name] and won’t find out the sex. Once again, I am struggling with finding a girl’s name I love. Our first daughter is [name]Annabelle[/name] [name]Rose[/name]. It fits her very well and we love it, so I have high standards to live up to.
I adore the name [name]Coralie[/name]. I think it has an old-fashioned flare while still feeling fresh and modern. I like nn [name]Cora[/name] or [name]Coral[/name] even [name]Calie[/name].
It’s not my cup of tea at all, but I have to say it’s glorious with [name]Annabelle[/name]! I love corals, and the coral colour is beautiful. [name]One[/name] of my favourite French chanteuses is named [name]Coralie[/name] ([name]Clement[/name]), she’s lovely and makes amazing music. Good namesake.
[name]Coralie[/name] is a pretty name, but not really my style, although I prefer it as a middle name. It feels a bit ‘nicknamey’ to me - perhaps because of the -ie ending? But I love the sibset [name]Annabelle[/name] [name]Rose[/name] and [name]Coralie[/name] —
(maybe a naturey middle name would match [name]Rose[/name] - [name]Hazel[/name]? [name]Fleur[/name]? But [name]Coralie[/name] [name]Fleur[/name] sounds a bit like cauliflower…)
Good luck!
Lovelovelove [name]Coralie[/name]! I honestly couldn’t stand it when I first joined Nameberry, the only [name]Cora[/name] name I liked was [name]Cora[/name] itself, but now I adore it. It’s super sweet and vintage and it reminds me of soft pink flowers, the Great Barrier [name]Reef[/name], and lace (strange combo, but I love the imagery). I like the idea of a short-and-sweet MN with it, something like [name]Coralie[/name] [name]Rae[/name]/[name]Mae[/name] or [name]Coralie[/name] [name]Tess[/name] or [name]Coralie[/name] [name]Pearl[/name].
[name]Coralie[/name] is a beautiful french name. I had quite a few [name]Coralie[/name]'s in my class when I was in high school in [name]France[/name].
[name]Coralie[/name] isn’t my faaavorite way of getting to [name]Cora[/name], but I think it goes very well with [name]Annabelle[/name]. [name]How[/name] are you pronouncing it?
I would pronounce it [name]Cora[/name]-lee. [name]Just[/name] like you say [name]Emilie[/name] or [name]Amelie[/name]. I didn’t even think of saying it like [name]Cora[/name]-lye until I saw someone asking about pronunciation on another thread.
