What do you think of [name]Dashiell[/name] [name]Meir[/name] for our boy? Thoughts and suggestions please!!!
[name]Love[/name] [name]Dashiell[/name]- thinking about using it myself, but not sure about Mier…I’ve actually never heard it before. Does it have special meaning to you? Is it PN “meer” or “mee-air” ?
Its “Mee-air”… Hebrew for “Bringer of light”…It was also [name]Golda[/name] [name]Meir[/name]'s last name.
I love the name [name]Dashiell[/name]. But I also think of it as a very British name. It’s nice that it is more uncommon but easily pronounced. [name]Dash[/name] is such a cute nickname as well.
[name]Love[/name] it! I am biased though because my son’s name is [name]Dashiell[/name]! I must warn you that almost no one pronounces it right the first time, and they don’t spell it right, either. And places like doctors offices always think it is a girls name. And when I tell people his name they usually say something like “That’s unusual, how did you come up with that?” Which we all know is not exactly a compliment. BUT, I think that may be because I live in a super lame area where people are behind the curve in the naming department. I went to San [name]Francisco[/name] over the weekend and everyone there said “What a cool name!”… so maybe that puts things in perspective. Despite the less than stellar reactions from a lot of people, I couldn’t love the name more. Whenever I see a card addressed to him it reconfirms how much I love it! It’s also rolls off the tongue so well that it’s a great name to say ALL day long!
[name]Long[/name] story short- I [name]LOVE[/name] it and endorse it wholeheartedly! And I think the middle name is really cool, love the meaning! I like the flow of the two names together as well.
