What do you think of Eliana?

What do you think of [name]Eliana[/name]? Should it be spelled with one L and one N or two L’s and two N’s? [name]Eliana[/name] or [name]Elianna[/name] or [name]Ellianna[/name]? Also, would you pronounce it [name]Ellie[/name]-ah-na or [name]Ellie[/name]-[name]Ana[/name]?

I think [name]Eliana[/name] is the best spelling, and I like the el-ee-[name]AH[/name]-na pronunciation (rather than ellie-anna.)
I like the name, but it seems a bit blendy to me- it sounds a lot like [name]Ellie[/name], [name]Alana[/name], [name]Elena[/name], [name]Ariana[/name], [name]Adriana[/name], etc.

To me [name]Eliana[/name] is pronounced [name]El[/name] ee On ah and [name]Elianna[/name] would be [name]El[/name] ee [name]Anna[/name]. I used to babysit a little girl name [name]Eliana[/name] and I think it is a beautiful name. My daughter is [name]Liana[/name] because I loved [name]Eliana[/name] but we were naming after someone and needed an L name.

Very very pretty but feels trendy modern to me so not my personal style, I do like it though and the nn [name]Elle[/name] and [name]Annie[/name]

Eh. It just seems like too much, I think. Haha.

I am not a fan. It seems very trendy. To me, it is along the lines of [name]Gabriella[/name], [name]Gianna[/name], [name]Arianna[/name]. [name]Just[/name] not a style I am fond of.

We’re going with the spelling [name]Elliana[/name] and pronunciation “[name]El[/name]-ee-ah-na.” [name]Love[/name] it!

I know two Elianas, both about my age (mid-20s). They both pronounce it [name]El[/name]-ee-ah-na. Doesn’t feel trendy to me, but it’s not my thing.

I don’t like the ah-na prn at all, I find it very nasally. And I don’t like the nickname [name]Ellie[/name] much either. Guess this is the sort of name I’d never ever end up liking, sorry. There’s nothing wrong with it as a name per se, though it does come across a little trendy, I just don’t like it.

Yes I like [name]Eliana[/name] and would prn it el-ee-ah-na. I do prefer the spelling Elleana.

Absolutely adore this name. It’s on my list as well. I think [name]Eliana[/name] is the best spelling and I would pronounce it [name]EL[/name]-EE-ON-[name]AH[/name]. The only thing I don’t like is the nn [name]Ellie[/name]. I would personally use [name]Ella[/name] or [name]Lia[/name]. All in all it’s a beautiful name with a great meaning. Good luck

I think it is a very feminine and elegant name. I would pronounce it el-ee-ah-nuh. Spelling either [name]Eliana[/name] or [name]Elliana[/name].
It sounds like a European name to me, that likely has a history. I do not think it sounds like a particularly modern/trendy name as others have suggested.

I’d go with [name]Eliana[/name]. (I’d pronounce this [name]El[/name]-ee-ah-na).
I think it’s beautiful, clean, fresh, simple, and elegant.
The extra l’s and n’s feel excessive and messy.

It’s a little frilly for my taste. Feels trendy. But I do prefer it with one L and one N and I pronounce it [name]El[/name]–ee-ah-na)

Thanks guys. I really like this name but i don’t like the ah-na prn either. I prefer [name]Ellie[/name]-[name]Anna[/name]. Still wondering what the proper spelling would be to avoid pronounciation confusion. Or do you think that it would be inevitable?

If you want the [name]Ellie[/name]-[name]Anna[/name] pronunciation, I would spell it [name]Elianna[/name]. Nonetheless, an [name]Elianna[/name] will be called “el-ee-ah-nuh” sometime in her life just as a [name]Brianna[/name] will be called “bree-ah-nuh” instead of “[name]Bree[/name]-[name]Anna[/name]”.

Or even a double name might work. [name]Ellie[/name]-[name]Anna[/name] is kinda cute.

So I think [name]Elianna[/name] would be the clearest, but its inevitable that people would say it differently than how you would like it to be.
