What do you think of Magnolia?

I’m really liking [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] that my mother has been urging me to consider and I think she’s something between [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] and [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] which I currently have my heart set on… What are your thoughts on this name? Would be [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] Amélie [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] or [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is beautiful. I like that it’s relatively popular (#633) without being too overused, but it fits in perfectly with [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], etc. I think it’s really cute actually, and would fit well with your other children’s names!

I remember my favourite book series as a child had a little girl named [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] in it, her nn was [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]. I’ve always thought it was very sweet.

Thank you @lawsonhaley! Your feedback means a lot and my mother is already snickering behind me. This is her favorite name and she’s pushing me to use it!

[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is so gorgeous! It is on my list as well. It is spunky and has a nature connection, and it is feminine and pretty without being over the top. Perfection! I also love the possible nicknames (although it certainly would not need one) - [name_f]Maggie[/name_f], [name_f]Nola[/name_f], [name_f]Nolia[/name_f], [name_f]Lia[/name_f]…

Good luck!

My mother is the same with [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] :stuck_out_tongue: We’re considering it as a MN for [name_f]Brynlee[/name_f] actually, haha.

For me, [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is a very southern sounding name and reminds me of the show [name_m]Hart[/name_m] of [name_f]Dixie[/name_f]. There are two sisters on there named [name_m]Lemon[/name_m] and [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] and they’re Southern Belles. I don’t say that to imply it’s a bad name, though. I think it’s very pretty and fits well with your other kiddos’ names. I agree with you that it seems to sit nicely in between [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] and [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] and would be a perfectly lovely name.

However, I also think you need to listen to your heart, too. If you’re really in love with another name, like [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f], I would hate for you to regret not using it. But if you’d be truly happy with [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f], go for it.

Thank you @chelsanne22. You are absolutely right about me having to love the name. Right now I love and am stuck between the three names , [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] and [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f], I just can’t make up my mind. I’m afraid of having to go into the delivery room with a list as with all of my kids I chose and told everyone the names beforehand, so they would have time to adjust.

I understand completely. I’m in the same boat with a few names myself. We aren’t expecting just yet but trying and I’m a planner, so it keeps me less stressed to get things settled before all the pregnancy hormones kick in. Lol I’ve been told to try each name out for a week or so - refer to the baby by that name, use it at Starbucks, etc - and see if any of them just really seem to click. Or picture yourself calling the name of on a playground. That helped me some earlier on in our name search. Whichever one you choose, though, your little girl will have a beautiful name.

I think [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is beautiful! However, so is [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]. Not a fan of [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f].

[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is very special so I might view it different than people that just view it as a name. I absolutely adore it. [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] Amélie [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] and [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] are both gorgeous. I especially adore [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f].

[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is a really cute name, plus build-in nickname [name_f]Nola[/name_f] really fits right in with all the [name_f]Ella[/name_f]'s, [name_f]Sofia[/name_f]'s and [name_f]Nora[/name_f]'s nowadays.
My friend has been calling me [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] (it’s my nickname) for quite awhile now and at first I thought it sounded kind of weird, but I’ve really grown to like it a lot and I think the fact that it is a flower makes it even better.

I’d use it if you really like it.

[name_f]Eulalie[/name_f], [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f], and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] are all very beautiful names (I like them in that order)! I think that [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] might be a better fit with your kids’ names though. [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f]‘s much more unusual and unfamiliar than your kids’ names, and I feel like it might outshine them a bit? If you’re not worried about that though, then I think that you should just go with what you love and what feels right.

I’m a huge fan of [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f], and it’s one of my top choices if this pregnancy ends up being a girl. I vastly prefer it to [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] and [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f]. That being said, I agree with previous posters that if it’s not the name that speaks to you then I wouldn’t use it.

I think [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is spunky, feminine and fun so it’s definitely a yes from me.

However, I like [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] and especially [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] a lot too - you have great taste! I think [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] is so bright, bouncy and beautiful and I think it makes for a really quirky, classy sibset along with your other children’s names.

I like [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] but I think that [name_f]Eulalie[/name_f] (love!) sounds more a match to your other children’s names. With [name_f]Celia[/name_f], [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is also a bit too matchy for me

I love [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] but it does have the same ending as [name_f]Celia[/name_f]. I’m personally in favor of [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], which I think goes very well with your other kids’ names and has a great flow with the middle names [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f].
