As a whole I like the name. But I really REALLY dislike potential nn [name]Nat[/name]. The nn alone would keep me from ever using it I like [name]Natalia[/name] more (I think because the emphasis isn’t on the [name]NAT[/name] sound).
I have a friend [name]Natalie[/name] and she always went by Naty. I love the name because she is such a lovely person. I don’t think it’s bland at all…
It’s a lot less romantic than other names in your signature. I think it’s very sweet. For some reason I like the more French spelling of [name]Nathalie[/name] better. I think [name]Natty[/name] is a really cute nn- [name]Natty[/name] Gann is a fun character for a little girl to share a name with too
I really like [name]Natalie[/name] but i think i’d spell it [name]Nathalie[/name]
I love [name]Natalie[/name] it’s very pretty.
[name]Natalie[/name] is gorgeous. I used to think of it as a more modern name until I realized that it’s been in the US top 1000 since 1880! I read an article calling [name]Natalie[/name] a “modern classic,” which makes sense when you realize it’s been climbing steadily since the 60s. (Actually, it’s been climbing basically ever since it debuted on the charts.) And the fact that [name]Natalie[/name]'s derived from the Latin “natale domini” definitely gives it some gravitas. So ancient roots + melodious sound = winner.
I grew up with at least 2-3 Nathalies/Natalies in my class growing up in the 90s and early 2000s. To me it seems very common and dated. I don’t care for it at all. [name]Both[/name] the nn [name]Nat[/name] and [name]Natty[/name] to me sound annoying and remind me of the word brat and bratty. I am sorry if I offend anyone, just trying to be honest.
[name]Natalie[/name]? Bland?! lol. Not at all! My sister is a [name]Natalie[/name], and bland is the last word I’d use to describe her! She’s sweet and tenderhearted and kind and lovey-dovey (and yes, matter-of-fact, I’m-right-even-if-I’m-wrong-and-you-all-need-to-face-that-at-some-point-or-another, determined, and stubborn!). She’s absolutely gorgeous, smart, silly. To me, [name]Natalie[/name]'s sweet, classic, charming, feminine. It’s not terribly popular, but not too unusual, either.
For what it’s worth, my sister goes by [name]Natalie[/name] and [name]Tallie[/name] almost exclusively (never [name]Nat[/name], if she can help it!), and she was Natie a little bit with my mom when she was little. She’s also gotten [name]Lea[/name]/[name]Lia[/name], [name]Allie[/name], [name]Talia[/name], [name]Natalia[/name], [name]Tallulah[/name], and, thanks to [name]Tallulah[/name], [name]Lulu[/name]. But it’s mostly [name]Natalie[/name] and [name]Tallie[/name].
I love the name [name]Natalie[/name]! I think it’s beautiful, and not bland at all.
Nah, I like [name]Natalie[/name] quite well! [name]Natalia[/name] does dress it up a bit, and I prefer [name]Natalia[/name], but I really like [name]Natalie[/name] too.
