What do you think of Nella?

I’ve recently stumbled across [name_f]Nella[/name_f] and I think I really like it. I love [name_f]Nell[/name_f] and [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] but I’ve always thought they were too incomplete, so [name_f]Nella[/name_f] seems the perfect solution.

What do you think of it? What images/vibes does it give? Does it seem too trendy due to its similarity to [name_f]Ella[/name_f]?

I have been thinking about it as a sister (just for fun) to a [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] or [name_f]Posey[/name_f].

Thanks!

I know of a little girl (from a blog I read) called [name_f]Nella[/name_f]. She has Down Syndrome and she’s gorgeous.

Apart from that very positive association I’ve always liked [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] or [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] best as a longer form of [name_f]Nell[/name_f], but [name_f]Nella[/name_f] is very pretty.

I think it sound like a nickname. It’s a nice nickname though, but for me personally it feels incomplete as a full name.

I didn’t think of [name_f]Ella[/name_f] actually, but I immediately thought of [name_f]Nell[/name_f] and [name_f]Nellie[/name_f]

[name_f]Nella[/name_f] isn’t bad, but I still prefer [name_f]Nell[/name_f] or [name_f]Nelle[/name_f]. I don’t like the -ella sound much in general. [name_f]Nella[/name_f] seems more like a nickname to me rather than a full name, maybe even more so than [name_f]Nell[/name_f].

It sounds a bit made up, I prefer [name_f]Nell[/name_f] or [name_f]Nellie[/name_f]. That said, it’s not a bad name! A kid I babysit is obsessed with this children’s show called [name_f]Nella[/name_f] the princess knight, so it’s the first thing that comes to mind.
