[name]Olia[/name] with a possible nickname of [name]Ollie[/name]? Would be a little sister for [name]Finn[/name]. I like it but have never heard it in use (we live in Australia).
I like [name]Ophelia[/name] nn [name]Olia[/name] or [name]Ollie[/name]. I’m not 100% sure how to say [name]Olia[/name] but it makes me feel like [name]Olivia[/name] missing some letters.
I just recently saw a baby named Avaleigh Orlia, and the middle name, Orlia, garnered rather interestingly good responses from some picky sources! [name]Olia[/name] is said as ‘Oh-lia’ or ‘[name]Ah[/name]-lee-ah’?
I think [name]Olia[/name] is nice! I like [name]Olya[/name] a lot, too (well, I’d only ever head [name]Olya[/name], not [name]Olia[/name], before right now). [name]Ollie[/name] is not my cup of tea on a girl, though.

Thanks everybody! I was thinking it was pronounced O-lee-ah. I did some research and apparently there is a Russian name [name]Olia[/name] which means holy and a Norse version meaning blessed.

[name]Olia[/name] is very pretty!! And I have an Australian friend, [name]Olinda[/name], who goes by [name]Ollie[/name], so I think it suits a girl just fine if it’s not uncommon in your parts

And by all means, let [name]Finn[/name] call her [name]Coco[/name] He will eventually grow out of it, but it is always so special to have sibling nicknames. My older brother always called me “[name]Nana[/name]” when we were little, and now that he has his own little one, she calls me “Aunty [name]Nana[/name]” SO special to me!
[name]Olia[/name] makes me think of an Italian sauce, like “fettucine a olia”. Not a big fan.
I love it! I’ve always preferred to [name]Olea[/name] spelling (not sure if [name]Olia[/name] and [name]Olea[/name] have different etymologies, but [name]Olea[/name] appeals to me more). I’ve always said [name]Olea[/name] as oh-[name]LEE[/name]-ah/oh-[name]LAY[/name]-ah–is that how you would say [name]Olia[/name]? Or more like OH-lee-ah?
I’m not crazy about [name]Ollie[/name] as a nn–too masculine for me, and I don’t think it really needs a nn as it’s so short. I’ve always preferred [name]Olea[/name] as a MN (I’m partial to [name]Clara[/name] [name]Olea[/name] as a combo), but I think it would be charming as a FN, too. My only problem with [name]Finn[/name] and [name]Olia[/name] is that [name]Olia[/name] seems so unusual next to [name]Finn[/name], which is quickly becoming mainstream (here, anyway!). I would expect [name]Finn[/name] and [name]Ollie[/name] to be brothers, but I think [name]Finn[/name] and [name]Olia[/name] are great.
