What do you think of our boy list?

Dh and I finally came up with a list of boy names we both like. Possibilities for boy #2 are:

[name]Ewan[/name]
[name]Eamonn[/name]
[name]Angus[/name]
[name]Hugh[/name]
[name]Seamus[/name]
[name]Fergus[/name]
[name]Hamish[/name]

Names I love but he doesn’t include [name]Ciaran[/name], [name]Darcy[/name], and [name]Cillian[/name]. His favourite that didn’t make the cut is [name]Kelly[/name] (still on the table for a middle name). Our son’s name is [name]Gareth[/name] and we have an Irish McLastname.

Based on that, what other suggestions would you have for us? What do you think of the list?

[name]Love[/name] [name]Angus[/name], [name]Seamus[/name] and [name]Fergus[/name]. Some other suggestions

[name]Riordan[/name]
[name]Darby[/name]
[name]Ronan[/name]
[name]Cian[/name]
[name]Kellen[/name]/[name]Kellan[/name]
[name]Gannon[/name]
[name]Callahan[/name]

I love [name]Eamonn[/name], [name]Angus[/name], [name]Seamus[/name], and [name]Hamish[/name].

i love seamus

My favourite from your list is probably [name]Hugh[/name], though they’re all nice (just not my style). [name]Cillian[/name], I love, it’s a shame your DH isn’t on board as you could have used [name]Kelly[/name]/[name]Killy[/name] as a family nickname. How do you both feel about Kellan?

I’d suggest a range of names from the British Isles:
[name]Owen[/name]
[name]Conan[/name]
[name]Glenn[/name]
[name]Connor[/name]
[name]Shea[/name]
[name]Riordan[/name]
Alpin
[name]Finlay[/name]
[name]Kendrick[/name]
[name]Logan[/name]
[name]Egan[/name]
[name]Brennan[/name]
[name]Henry[/name]
[name]Collin[/name]
[name]Patrick[/name]
[name]Joshua[/name]
[name]Nathan[/name]
[name]Ronan[/name]
[name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Wynne[/name]
[name]Alexander[/name]
[name]Tiernan[/name]
[name]Niall[/name]
[name]Declan[/name]
[name]Aidan[/name]
[name]Brynn[/name]
[name]Isaac[/name]
[name]Jasper[/name]
[name]Lucas[/name]
[name]Rory[/name]
Craig
[name]Shane[/name]
[name]Samuel[/name]
[name]Donavan[/name]

I love [name]Hamish[/name] and [name]Seamus[/name]! And I adore [name]Cillian[/name] and [name]Ciaran[/name], amazing names. [name]Hugh[/name] and [name]Eamonn[/name] are nice too, I don’t like [name]Fergus[/name] and [name]Angus[/name] (I picture angry drunk red-bearded scottish men).

I like the suggestions of [name]Ronan[/name].

Paidi
[name]Oisin[/name]
Cinaed
[name]Fionn[/name]
Fionnan
[name]Lorcan[/name]
Mahon
[name]Malachi[/name]

I love all of them! The only two I’d probably strike off (particularly if you’re in the U.S.) are [name]Ewan[/name] and [name]Hamish[/name]. Unless you’re in a major metropolitan area, that is. Unfortunately, kids will notice the “EW” in [name]Ewan[/name] and the “[name]HAM[/name]” in [name]Hamish[/name]. Might I suggest [name]Egan[/name] in place of [name]Ewan[/name]? Whoops, I see that genevie beat me to it!

I like [name]Ewan[/name], [name]Eamonn[/name], and [name]Hugh[/name].

Oh, I love the idea of [name]Killian[/name] nn [name]Kelly[/name]! I hadn’t thought of that and will have to suggest it to DH.

I’m actually in [name]Canada[/name], and in an area that has a very strong Scottish/Irish heritage, so I’m hoping these names aren’t as ‘weird’ (for lack of a better word) as they might be elsewhere. I actually know a young [name]Ewan[/name] and two young Anguses, and looking at the SSA stats for the US those names have been quite uncommon…but the ‘Ew’ thing did occur to me.

I like a lot of the suggestions, thanks!

Oh, that’s fantastic! I won’t tell DH though - he’ll be wanting to move to [name]Canada[/name] so he can use the name [name]Ewan[/name]

I think [name]Hugh[/name] sounds the best with [name]Gareth[/name]. [name]Both[/name] have the same strong manly feel going on.
