Last name is very similar to Hatpin and his middle name will likely be something a little funky (current frontrunners are [name_m]Noble[/name_m] and [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m]…open to similar suggestions).
So do you guys still like [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] even though it would be [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] Hatpin (alliterative)? Sorry, should’ve mentioned this in the beginning.
I have a friend with [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] in his name, and it is misspelled by others 90% of the time. I have no idea why it’s so difficult for other people to spell, but it happens daily. Not sure if that would be a worry for a middle name.
I also love alliteration, and wanted an H.H. name for my son. We went with something else, but I like how it flows.
I love [name_m]Felix[/name_m] with [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] and [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f], but it’s just a little too close to [name_f]Fifi[/name_f]. If she’s ALWAYS [name_f]Fifi[/name_f], I’d go with [name_u]Theo[/name_u], but if it’s an occasional NN, [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] would be my favourite of the three names
Congrats on your adoption. [name_m]How[/name_m] exciting! Although I love all of three names, [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] Hatpin is somewhat cartoonish so I would eliminate that one from contention. [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Noble[/name_m] would be my top choice. [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] would be in second place.
I agree with [name_u]Mischa[/name_u] that [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] Hatpin is a bit cartoonish. I like classic names, but to me [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] still seems like a fuddy duddy old man name.
From your options, the clear winner is [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m], but I would name him [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] and call him [name_u]Theo[/name_u]. [name_m]Felix[/name_m] is a great name, too, and I like [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m], but like someone above pointed out, [name_m]Felix[/name_m] is too close to [name_f]Fifi[/name_f].
Best of luck and congratulations on the adoption. So very, very exciting for your family!
Congratulations! With [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] and [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] “[name_f]Birdie[/name_f] and [name_f]Fifi[/name_f]”, I think [name_m]Felix[/name_m] would be adorable. [name_u]Theo[/name_u] is lovely, as well, but I think the fuller [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] goes much better with [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] and [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] (and not just because I like it better!). [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f], and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] would be stunning as siblings. So as they are, [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] gets my vote, but if you’d be open to [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], I think [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Noble[/name_m] or [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] would be great (or even [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m], I suppose. Of all the options, I like [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] the best, but I feel like [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] is a bit on the long side…).
Ha did not expect to see 3 of my top ten names. [name_f]Love[/name_f] all three. I wouldn’t choose [name_m]Felix[/name_m] if your daughter is called [name_f]Fifi[/name_f] much of the time. If it is a term of endearment more so than an official nn, [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Noble[/name_m] is great. Otherwise, I like [name_u]Theo[/name_u] [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] or [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m].
