Boyfriends name is [name]Joe[/name]. [name]Posy[/name] is a nickname for [name]Josephine[/name] but I’m not really a fan. [name]Poesy[/name] is poetry. And [name]Pearl[/name] honor my grandparents.
I think [name]Posy[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] is adorable. [name]Poesy[/name] looks a little ‘off’ to me.
I think [name]Posy[/name] is adorable but I don’t feel it’s substantial enough to stand alone as a first name. Besides [name]Josephine[/name] I think it could work as a nickname for [name]Sophia[/name], [name]Mariposa[/name], [name]Patience[/name], [name]Primrose[/name], [name]Penrose[/name], [name]Rhapsody[/name], and [name]Sophronia[/name]. Some of them are a little more of a stretch than others but I think they’ll all work…
[name]Ah[/name], my boyfriend’s name is [name]Joe[/name] too.
I don’t like [name]Posy[/name] though. I think of that song “[name]Ring[/name] around the rosies, pocket full of poseys…”, I really don’t see it ageing well either. Especially in [name]North[/name] [name]America[/name]. Maybe in the UK, or Europe it’d work. Other nickname variants are [name]Fifi[/name], [name]Josie[/name], [name]Josette[/name], [name]Jojo[/name]. [name]Jojo[/name] makes me think of [name]Joanna[/name]/[name]Joanne[/name].
Why not look at different variants of [name]Joseph[/name]/[name]Josephine[/name]? Or switch spots? [name]Pearl[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] is better to me. Also, instead of just [name]Pearl[/name], another idea is a name meaning [name]Pearl[/name].
[name]Marjorie[/name]. [name]Meghan[/name]/[name]Megan[/name]. [name]Margaret[/name].
[name]Meghan[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] I like the most.
Or take the -seph ending of [name]Joseph[/name], and use [name]Sephora[/name].
[name]Sephora[/name] [name]Pearl[/name], is an idea.
I hope I was able to help.
[name]Poesy[/name] will not get spelled right. It also doesn’t feel like it’ll age well. I can think of worse, though. If you want to go with a nickname route to get to [name]Posy[/name], you could also try [name]Jocelyn[/name], I know people wit that name who go by [name]Josie[/name] (and hence [name]Posy[/name]/[name]Posey[/name] by rhyme). Still sort of honors [name]Joe[/name]. You could even spell it a different way if you want like French Josseline (very pretty), although I think [name]Jocelyn[/name] is the best for easy spelling. I can also see [name]Joan[/name], [name]Joanne[/name], [name]Johanna[/name], as honoring [name]Joe[/name] and then maybe with an S or soft C middle name could be [name]Josey[/name] [name]Posey[/name]. I can also see [name]Posy[/name] as a nickname for plain [name]Rose[/name] or any [name]Rose[/name] name like [name]Rosemary[/name], [name]Rosalie[/name], [name]Rosamond[/name] etc, [name]Rosie[/name] [name]Posey[/name]. Good luck!
I dont know if the accent mark is technically correct but I think it looks better especially since Clémence [name]Po[/name]ésy is my only reference for this name. I’m not sure how well this name would work in the states, I think it would get confused with [name]Posey[/name] unless thats the name you meant to post and Im wrong.
Edited to say Im pretty sure the accent isnt correct on [name]Poesy[/name] since its an english word ([name]Poetry[/name] is poésie in french though) but I still cant imagine it without it. I think you might be better off using the name [name]Posey[/name], this word confuses me for some reason lol
I think it’s perfectly adorable, but I would prefer the spelling [name]Posey[/name]. You could still have a nickname of [name]Poe[/name] even with that spelling, I think.
I love the sound of [name]Posey[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]! Very cute, but also really cutesy. I think [name]Primrose[/name] [name]Pearl[/name], [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Pearl[/name], or [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Pearl[/name], nn [name]Posey[/name], would work much better. I also think people would spell [name]Poesy[/name] wrong a lot of the time, and I even say [name]Posey[/name] and [name]Poesy[/name] differently… ([name]POE[/name]-ess-ee as opposed to POZE-ee).
Good luck!
[name]Poesy[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] is too cutesy for anyone but a young girl imo… I’d choose a longer/formal name that could be used as well. Also with the spelling [name]Posy[/name], [name]Poesy[/name] looks a little off to me.
It’s a little cutesy, sorry. I like the suggestion of using a longer or more formal name to get the nickname. [name]Poesy[/name] will have spelling problems too. It’ll probably get confused with [name]Posey[/name] and [name]Posy[/name].
