What do you think of Rae as a first name? Also, middle name suggestions?

[name_u]Rae[/name_u] is a special name for me family wise. I think it would be a cute first name, but want some opinions, since I find it is usually a mn. Also I’m stuck on middle names, I like the sound of [name_u]Rae[/name_u] [name_f]Karolina[/name_f] but I’m unsure

I know two women who go by [name_u]Rae[/name_u]–in both cases it’s actually a nickname (for [name_u]Rae[/name_u] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] and [name_f]Rachel[/name_f]), but it sounds like a usable first name to me. I think pairing it with something longer, and feminine like [name_f]Karolina[/name_f], is a good idea.

I think [name_u]Rae[/name_u] makes a lovely first name! It would definitely stand out in the current wave of trends toward longer first names.

I like [name_u]Rae[/name_u]. It’s short and sweet. It’s nice when people use names that are mainly seen as middle names in the first spot. I would probably use a longer middle name to balance out [name_u]Rae[/name_u]. [name_u]Rae[/name_u] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] was a combo that popped into my head, and I think it sounds lovely.

My mom’s name is [name_u]Ray[/name_u], so I think it’s fine as a first. Her full name is [name_u]Ray[/name_u] [name_u]Lynn[/name_u], but I guess my grandparents just liked short names. (my aunt’s name is similar)
