Since we have been TTC for 3 years, we’ve had alot of time to think about names. We like to have 2 names for each gender set in stone and we’re stuck on a 2nd boy name.
We both really like [name_m]Soren[/name_m] and I was wanting to get some opinions on it. I know that it’s pronounced differently depending on where you’re from but we would say it basically how it looks. Sore-en
I like [name_m]Soren[/name_m]. My only concern is it’s a name that needs careful consideration with the middle and last name. It can sound like sore and (fill in the blank) if the wrong middle or last name is being used (ex: [name_m]Soren[/name_m] [name_u]Grey[/name_u]). He’d fit in well with the other names you have in your signature.
I really like [name_m]Soren[/name_m]. Personally I pronounce it Sor-ren (Sor like in sorrel).
I would live to meet a little [name_m]Soren[/name_m] in real life.
As far as a middle, we were thinking maybe [name_m]Soren[/name_m] [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] or [name_m]Soren[/name_m] [name_m]Evander[/name_m]. The last name is essentially [name_m]Huntley[/name_m] with the t being a d.
I think [name_m]Soren[/name_m] is very handsome. If I was not in love with [name_m]Espen[/name_m] I would consider it. I prefer the pronunciation sore-in. The only thing I do not like is the meaning “stern or severe”. As others have said, it is one of those names that will be harder to find a middle name for. That is how I felt with [name_u]Gray[/name_u]. But you know that many of us would be more than willing to help out.
Thanks for all the opinions… right now I’ve got it paired with [name_m]Soren[/name_m] [name_m]Evander[/name_m] which I think does avoid the “sore and…” which is nice. Not sure if I love it though. I’ll have to go on the hunt for more middle options.
