[name_f]Florence[/name_f] honors my great grandmother, and I adore that some sources cite [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] as meaning “face of her mother.” (It’s alternative meaning isn’t bad either: “maiden.”) The name [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] is also a Shakesperean invention, as is my own.
[name_m]How[/name_m] do these names sound together? What would you suggest as alternatives if it doesn’t work?
I think it sounds great. It’s beautiful, though i wouldn’t say playful, which is something i sometimes like in a name… would you use a nickname (eg. [name_u]Ren[/name_u]/[name_u]Wren[/name_u], [name_f]Florrie[/name_f]…)?
[name_f]Lovely[/name_f] combo! It obviously has a lot of meaning for you, which makes it even better. [name_m]Travis[/name_m] and [name_f]Florence[/name_f] would be beautiful together.
emsky- I like the nickname [name_f]Flora[/name_f]… or even [name_f]Posy[/name_f]. I hadn’t thought of [name_u]Wren[/name_u] as a nickname for [name_f]Florence[/name_f], but that is really cute! I also thought this week of calling her “fidget” as a pet name. It made me sort of chuckle out loud. What do you think?
