Me and my dh love the nn andy for a girl but wanted something longer. We hadn’t been able to find a name we liked that had the nn [name_u]Andy[/name_u] until we came across andalyn and we really like it. I know it sounds made up but so does kyler and there are plenty of those around here. What do you think?
It is really interesting! I think it could grow on me. Because the nn [name_u]Andy[/name_u] is super charming
A few more options for a full name ~
[name_f]Mandolin[/name_f]
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f]
[name_u]Holland[/name_u]
[name_f]Zandra[/name_f]
[name_f]Melisande[/name_f]
[name_f]Corisande[/name_f]
[name_f]Amanda[/name_f]
[name_f]Cassandra[/name_f]
[name_f]Calandra[/name_f]
[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]
It’s definitely interesting. I don’t mind it, to be honest, and it’s quite cute. [name_u]Andy[/name_u] is a great nn.
I actually like it. It somehow manages to avoid the cutesy factor of many lyn names.
It’s interesting. I think it’s too similar to [name_f]Adalyn[/name_f], and I don’t care for that spelling of [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] at all. So that’s the only factor throwing it off for me.
What about just [name_f]Andie[/name_f]? I went to college with a girl name [name_f]Andie[/name_f] and she rocked it. Or [name_u]Andrea[/name_u] nn [name_f]Andie[/name_f]. I find the -ie or -I ending most feminine compared to the masculine [name_u]Andy[/name_u].
I think I like it. I’m still getting used to it but I’m definitely not put off by it either.
It soundslike a cross between the names [name_f]Adalyn[/name_f] and [name_u]Andrea[/name_u], neither of which are names I like.
It sounds like the musical instrument, the mandolin, to me.
