What do you think of the name Beatrix

Hello

I’m not expecting-just collecting. I watch a tv show called “Call the Midwife” and there’s a character in the show called [name]Trixie[/name]. I thought this was really cute, and then I heard her full name was [name]Beatrix[/name]! I thought that was really cool. I’m a big [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name] fan, so I was abit worried that [name]Beatrix[/name] would remind people of [name]Helena[/name] Bonham [name]Carter[/name]'s evil character [name]Bellatrix[/name]. [name]Do[/name] you think this is an issue.

So, what I’m basically trying to ask is:

What do you think of the name [name]Beatrix[/name]?
What do you think of the nn [name]Trixie[/name]?
Is it too close to [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name]?
Any middle names you would suggest?
[name]Do[/name] you think it goes with my favouites right now of [name]Annabelle[/name] [name]Pearl[/name], [name]Magdalen[/name] [name]Alice[/name], [name]Lucia[/name] [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Ivy[/name]?

Thank you  Have a great day!

I love [name]Beatrix[/name]. Not too sure on [name]Trixie[/name] though as my gran’s neighbor had a dog call that - sorry! I know a [name]Beatrice[/name] who’s three and goes by [name]Bea[/name] and think that’s adorable. I would honestly have never made the [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name] connection and I’m a big fan myself!

Honestly, I prefer [name]Beatrice[/name], it’s one of my favorite names. As for [name]Trixie[/name], for some reason I don’t see it on an adult. I would use [name]Bea[/name] or [name]Beata[/name] (my favorite one, Polish version of [name]Beatrice[/name]/[name]Beatrix[/name]) as a nickname. I don’t think the name reminds of [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name] (although I’m a fan).

I don’t like the hard “x” at the end of [name]Beatrix[/name] and I dislike even more the nn [name]Trixie[/name], I think it’s a really stereotypical nasty blonde cheerleader name. On the other hand I do really like the name [name]Beatrice[/name] and the possible nicknames of [name]Tris[/name] and [name]Bea[/name]. I don’t think any people at all would think [name]Beatrix[/name]=[name]Bellatrix[/name], I don’t think they are very similiar. From your favourites I think that [name]Beatrix[/name] goes with [name]Magdalen[/name] but not the others.

I love [name]Beatrix[/name], especially with the nickname [name]Trixie[/name]. I actually really like [name]Bellatrix[/name], too, so no, I do not think it’s too close to the [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name] character.

I like [name]Beatrix[/name] and I think the nn [name]Trixie[/name] is cute. I loved the [name]Trixie[/name] [name]Belden[/name] books as a kid. I think it goes fine with your other name choices.

I like [name]Beatrix[/name]! I am not into HP at all, never read the books, and I really don’t have any desire to, lol, so I barely even have an idea of who/what [name]Bellatrix[/name] was. I honestly don’t think the connection would be too strong–I think of [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Potter[/name], the children’s books writer, first (and that’s a pretty great association, imo). I’ve never been a [name]Trixie[/name] fan, but it’s okay. I like [name]Bea[/name] much more. I’m not sure about combos, I like [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Liv[/name] and [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]. I generally prefer [name]Beatrix[/name] as a MN.

Good luck!

I [name]ADORE[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name], it’s one of my all time favorites. I’m a ridiculous [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name] nerd and it does not make me think of HP at all. [name]Trixie[/name] is an ok nickname, not my favorite - but I seriously love [name]Beatrix[/name]!

[name]Love[/name] it! Reminds me of [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Potter[/name] and not [name]Bellatrix[/name]. I’m rather indifferent about the nn [name]Trixie[/name], but it works. I also think it goes just fine with your favorites.

I prefer [name]Beatrice[/name] to [name]Beatrix[/name] : )

I love [name]Beatrix[/name], and although I also love [name]Beatrice[/name], [name]Beatrix[/name] is my favorite of the two. I find it interesting that some people like one but hate the other. I think they are both lovely. That being said, the nickname [name]Trixie[/name] does kind of remind me of a stereotypical dog name, but I think that it is possible to get past that association. I love [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name] and so many names from the series, that associations with it wouldn’t stop me from using a name. That being said the association with [name]Bellatrix[/name] isn’t that strong. I think [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Potter[/name] would come to mind first for most people.

My first thoughts of [name]Beatrix[/name] are of [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Potter[/name]. But, I’ve discussed the name [name]Beatrix[/name] with my husband and he does associate it with [name]Bellatrix[/name] from [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name]. So, I think some people will make the connection and others won’t. It wouldn’t stop me from using the name either way. I love the names [name]Beatrice[/name], [name]Beatrix[/name], and the Spanish [name]Beatriz[/name] included. [name]Bea[/name] and/or [name]Trixie[/name] make great nicknames.

[name]Love[/name] all the forms for [name]Bea[/name]+ names. [name]Beatrice[/name], [name]Beatrix[/name], [name]Beatrisa[/name], and my favorite [name]Beata[/name]. Pronounced bay-ah-tah, meaning blessed, [name]LOVE[/name].

i named my now 7 week daughter [name]Beatrix[/name]. It’s a lovely and different name. But im finding that when i say her name people think its [name]Beatrice[/name]. People are not used to this spelling as it is not a common name in Australia. Her nn is [name]Bea[/name]. My 2 yr old daughter calls her [name]Trix[/name] as she cant say her full name yet. I never watched or read the HP books so never associated with the character from the movie.

[name]Love[/name], [name]Love[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name]!!! I am not a fan of the [name]Trixie[/name] NN.

I’ve never really liked [name]Beatrice[/name] or [name]Beatrix[/name] at all, and I’m not a big fan of the nn [name]Trixie[/name]. Additionally, the first connection I make when I think of [name]Beatrix[/name] is [name]Bellatrix[/name]. Sorry!

I adooore [name]Beatrix[/name] (although my all-time favorite is definitely [name]Beatrice[/name]). However, I don’t love [name]Trixie[/name]. I love [name]Bea[/name], though!

I agree with alyssemarie.

Also, I [name]LOVE[/name] the nn [name]Trixie[/name]! I think it’s adorable. Additionally, [name]Trixie[/name] would work as a nn for both [name]Beatrice[/name] and [name]Beatrix[/name].
[name]Beatrix[/name] is close in sound and spelling to [name]Bellatrix[/name], but I don’t automatically link [name]Beatrix[/name] to [name]Bellatrix[/name] in [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name].
[name]Beatrix[/name]/[name]Beatrice[/name] also goes well with your other favorites.

What do you think of the name [name]Beatrix[/name]? [name]Love[/name] it! I like it much more than [name]Beatrice[/name]
What do you think of the nn [name]Trixie[/name]? love it! I think it’s super cute. I read a series of old books as a kid with a main character named [name]Trixie[/name] [name]Belden[/name].
Is it too close to [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name]? no, not at all. I think only big fans would remember [name]Bellatrix[/name]'s name, and it’s really not that close
Any middle names you would suggest? [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Clara[/name] is on my list. [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] is also pretty.
Yes I think it does.

I am crazy about [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name] (to the point that I am a member of a local meet-up group and we have events all the time to discuss the books, characters, etc.) but I do not associate [name]Beatrix[/name] with [name]Bellatrix[/name] at all. [name]Beatrix[/name] is incredibly beautiful and it does make me think of the lovely [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Potter[/name] (what a kind, wonderful, talented human being!!). I also really like [name]Beatrice[/name] as well (my husband is attempting to sweet-talk me into [name]Beatrice[/name] over [name]Beatrix[/name], bringing up [name]Dante[/name] and his [name]Beatrice[/name] and so on :)). [name]Trixie[/name] isn’t a nn I’d use but I just happen to really love [name]Bea[/name].

I think it goes well with your other names. [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Marigold[/name], [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Amabel[/name], [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Lenore[/name], [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Paloma[/name], [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Corinne[/name], [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Maeve[/name], [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Ophelia[/name], [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Lorelei[/name], [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Claire[/name], [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Aurora[/name]
